As so many people are experiencing right now, I've had an outbound package destined for a reshipper in Houston go missing. I'm sure 'missing' isn't the right word, as it's just probably part of the holiday backlog... But USPS took possession of it on 12/10/20 and it doesn't appear that it left the drop off site yet, two weeks later.
The package was insured for about 67% of it's purchase price, which is less than its real value.
So what's the play here? My instinct is to inquire and hopefully shake it loose. But what happens if I make a claim and it's paid and then the package is located? Do you get the option to take possession of the package in exchange for return the paid claim amount?
