There are lots of places where breakdowns and stacks are discussed. This is as good a place as any. Here's a breakdown I had in one of my spreadsheets that might be overkill, but it's enough for 10 players, 6 re-buys, on-time and correct change bonuses, and color-ups. Feel free to adjust downward if you don't want all of that. Most of it (340 chips) comes from just the original 10 buy-ins though. Also, this is for a different set, so ignore last two colors. Keep in mind that you must order in multiples of 25 chips per denomination and that you do want a few extras of each chip to allow for loss or breakage in transit. Add a roll of T25K chips if you want to do a T50K starting stack.

For a smaller set with no re-buys and no bonuses you need 352 chips. (10x34 buy-ins and 12 chips for color up) Allowing for extras, I'd buy this:

T100 x 175 (need exactly 150 if you want to risk it)
T500 x 75 (this is 5 extras)
T1000 x 125 (need exactly 100 if you want to risk it)
T5000 x 50 (this is 14 extras)
T25,000 x 25 (so you can do T50K)

Total = 450 chips. Can get away with 400 chips if you don't want extras or think you are not likely to play 10 handed. 375 if you knock out the T25K chips.

Thanks, I was having trouble finding a post that discussed the T100 setup that also included a 25k chip.

Okay, here's my final order for the add-on:
- 200 lime-green NCC nickels
- 320 orange NCC quarters (faux-label as pictured below)

Note that these are not the original quarters I ordered (red faux hotstamp). I love those, but I'm very concerned about dirty stacks and misread pots because the red quarters blend so well with the red $25s. So, while I have the chance, I'm going to get these too.

What kind of thoughts are you looking for? No way to really comment without knowing what your game size is and what stacks you want to use. You can see my comments above on a specific scenario and adjust or ask questions from there. It's just a matter of deciding what you want and then doing the math.

If I like the T500 chip, I like to go with one rack each of the T100, T500, T1k, and T5k, and 40 x T25k per table. Starting stacks of 10/10/9/X.
10 x T1000 for color up of the T100, plenty of T5000 for color up of T500 and re-buys. T25k for deeper games.

If i don't like the T500 chip, I adjust the numbers of T1000 up, and T500 down.

But I'm an idiot about chip breakdowns.
 
Anyone interested in Aria sample sets? I may order a roll of each denomination and put some together.

Anyone know if there are Aria DBs and Cut card designs available? 43mm Bounty chip would be cool too.

I like T25K with stacks of 15-7-10-2. We were just discussing this up at the top of this page. Look at my post #65.

Just watched a video shot at Aria Las Vegas, and the spots on the cash $100 are definitely yellow and green, not white and green. Were these chips based off the cash chips, or so they have another very similar tournament set?
