That, my friend, has to be the textbook definition of a 'targeted ad' lol
Probably over 2k chips sold from you and your posts lmao
I know how to make a set awesome, vibrant and fun. I may never spend $5,000+ on a very old Paulson set but I can certainly add a lot of flavor and fun to a game.
That's probably why I like Sunfly and ABC ceramics more than other companies. Paulson is obviously the gold standard but they also come usually with a very hefty price tag and the longer you go, the harder it gets to find good chips.
CPC'S are amazing but they take an eternity to customize and the cost is that of a pretty penny. I don't mind telling you.
Then on the low end you have Scroll ceramics, dice chips and China Clays. Scroll ceramics seem like a bargain. You get ceramic chips for 40c each but there are many tales of them breaking in play. ABC ceramics are way more durable.
When it comes down to it, ABC, Sunfly and Matsui add the most flavor to a game without breaking your bank and my custom ideas usually make a ton of sense.
A $13 orange chip is so obvious and who didn't have the skeleton dude with the huge mustache and Sombrero as trying to peek in the ladies shower?
When I buy or make a design, I make it such that someone will look at the chips and say "I gotta get me one of those!". Most of my friends aren't chip collectors. They listen to heavy metal, drink beer, like waitresses with their boobs half out of their shirt and enjoying life.
If they picked up a Casino Aztar (which I actually enjoy) they would just say it looks like another chip. If they see these, they will be super jealous and want one of their own.
When I first started this, I got a sample set of some China Clays and the Wicked Spades. All the guests that were under 30 loved it, and this girl and her boyfriend told me "next game, bring the wicked Spades". That's when I knew I had an eye for it.
