Hey guys, having spent the last couple hours trying to fruitlessly track down a specific deck of cards I was hoping some more knowledgeable person here might be able to help me out. Basically, i'm trying to find the brand of playing cards of a deck I had about 10 years ago, which was by far my favourite ever. The deck in question lasted the best part of 2 years, surviving countless nights of NLH, 25, kings, withstanding beers, wine, fights etc etc without a blemish. They were lost or stolen eventually.

Anyway what I know is...
- I got them free with poker points from either Pokerstars or Full Tilt in 2008-2009. I should know which of the 2 but I played both sites and my memory fails me, i'm 90% sure they were from Stars.
- They were plastic obviously. Black back, with bits of white & red for logo. White frame.
- I've gotten several decks from Stars in the past few years which are Copag. Good cards but not as good as these and although plastic, these new decks feel slightly thinner and less robust. Have stars changed their brand or do Copag editions vary that much?
- From my cursory look on t'internet this evening, the closest thing I could find was from Fournier but it's hard to say.

TLDR: what brand of playing cards were Pokerstars (and Fulltilt) sending out to EU players in around 2008/9?

Can anyone help me out? cheers

I have some similar decks around that time frame from 888 Poker. Some quick google says they are Copag however I have some other copags and hate them. They are flimsy and smell like crap plus the graphics bleed and fade. The 888 however are stiffer and thicker, like fournier, and still look great 10 yrs later. So if they are copag they are somehow different. See if any of this helps.

Look at the fequently bought togther in the link too.

Agree about current Copag. The last several decks I've had were Copag and they feel too thin but worse still some card backs have faded without that much use and once one card is "marked" in the bin they go.
The deck in your pic could be them... obviously pretty hard to tell and they weren't 888. They did have a slightly wider white frame like yours do though. The deck i'm looking for were very... slidy? they would often slide off the table or ricochet off someone's hands or glass... basically much more plasticy (and thicker) than any Copag deck i've bought in the past several years.

Were they these?

If so, they may be Marion.

The joker in the 888 poker post above looks similar to the one used by Kuo Kau Paper Products, who make Marion and Royal. Hopefully they are closer to Marion.

A review of the Marion Pro cards can be found at https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cards-review.3776/#post-14667

Well lol much of my confusion is because I did have this exact deck at the same time, but I think the ones i'm looking for were from Pokerstars. Think I will order one of these on the 10-15% chance it was from Tilt!

Cheers for the help
