The LEGO Thread (13 Viewers)

Wowza, Lego thread! My modulars. Have a sealed Fire Brigade then just Tudor Corner and the grail set, Cafe Corner.

Anybody put together a new Bricklink set yet? I got Forest Stronghold, Art of Chocolate, and Camping World and am debating what to do with them.

Relabeling chips are fun, kind of reminds me of building legos.

I have the wild West train ordered for series 3, but I won’t get it until this summer.

Well, those of you who grew up with & love classic space lego might appreciate this. I was able to pick up 4 of the "Tales of the Space Age" sets on the cheap, so I combined them all together and used em as a backdrop for my classic Galaxy Explorer sets. (sorry for the crappy lighting)

...and just for shiggles, on a lower shelf of the same cabinet I've got the Galaxy Explorer 90th anniversary...which it seems like nobody liked, but I thought this set was fantastic and a great value. (This is the only lighting set that I've done...I like the results but OMG what a pain in the ass)

Anyone know the best place to offload or sell Lego sets? Currently retired collector and have hundreds of legacy sets. Mainly marvel / dc /adult Modular’s and some pirate ships.

Currently listing in Facebook marketplace and OfferUp. Wasn’t sure if BrickLink was a good place to sell since I need to be vetted as well as I’d need to ship. Prefer local pickup. Same with eBay plus fees.

I am 64 and my daughter is 32 and I bought these life sized Legos for my daughter when she was 5. We had great fun with them for years before they were banished to the attic. But they are now having a great second act with my grandsons who are 6 and 3. Nothing like building LEGO buildings you can actually sit in.

Many years ago I gave all the LEGO I had from when I was younger to my nephews. They had been sitting in a bucket in the back of a closet unused and I figured they would make better use of them than I was.

I spent plenty of time building random stuff along with them, adding on with sets I bought for them. It was great fun, and nothing like connecting with family with time well spent together.

Wow, I have the same pieces and a couple more in their original boxes, thanks for the memory!

Hey @DirtyTIVA these look pretty good in real life. They are a little delicate though. I have 6 of 10 built & so far they're all different which is cool:

Built a grid using a couple of thousand unused pieces so I can display on my shelf & will sequence the cars in their Constructors standings order.

I love the starting grid build! As much fun as the sets are, it's always satisfying to ponder what bricks one has that might expand on what is out there.

If you hadn't said anything, I would have guessed this was something LEGO makes for these cars. Incredibly well done!:tup:

Thanks. I went back & forth deciding if I should make the spacing more accurate but I really wanted 6 cars instead of 4. Damn space limitations...
