definitely the 1000 chip mint PCA sets i found locally for a dollar a piece back in the CT days...and that’s canadian dollars. i was new, and asked myself what kind of idiot scrub donkey would spend a dollar per chip!? not this guy...i picked up a sweet set of nile club ceramics instead...:vomit::bag:

To add insult to injury....WTF :)
We all made mistakes but seriously...spotted birds !

Cassablanca's were/are hot indeed (but so much versions it made my head spin...and the pricing 'not for the 'faint hearted' ;))
 
I'm a new chipper...so my regrets are few...

The problem is, when I joined, I was opposed to even $1/chip Paulsons.

I ended up sliding down a slippery slope with respect to my budget. Looking back, if I knew I was going to spend money like I have...

My top regret is not getting BTP set that listed some months ago by the user ssanel54 I would have spent the money. I don't have it now. I spent more on my Jacks set when looking back.

My next regret is pretty recent. I was offered a rack of Jack $1000 and 1 barrel of $5K Secondary For $1200USD and wifey wouldn't allow it. What a miss...

I feel you.. started with roadhouse set from Chip Room.

Set my eyes on Jack’s and regretted not joining earlier for the sale.

Then got the green light from wife to get a paradice cash set.

After which my wife surprised me with a PCR set.

Now I’m on my way for another THC mixed set...

Yes, it hurts. They were in excellent condition. Here's a pic from 2011 - I have no idea what we did there, I guess it was a 2/5 NL game with cents for $s.

Not getting the SDPM chips when they originally hit eBay. The listing was pulled between the time I found the listing and the time I clicked "Buy". :banghead:

Close second was not purchasing the GCR chips on the TFP mold when I had the chance.
 
Passing on a rack of PCA secondary $100’s for $3/chip because I had primary’s that had never hit the felt yet and $300 was still a lot to spend back then especially for chips I thought I would only look at.
 
I was one of the early people on the Treasure Casino set that was allowed to buy 50 of the 100's. I forget the price, but I only bought 10. Now they go for 20 a chip :eek: not that I'd be selling any :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Also somewhat regretting not picking up some of those when I had the chance, the $1s and $5s especially.

@BGinGA and I bought a rack of secondary hundos on eBay, just after Jim was sold out on high denoms....we paid 350 for the rack.

I think i consider them missed opportunities rather than regrets. Some of mine other than custom TRKs:

> not participating in Slo Play Ray's Kings Crown GB back in the day. I think it was on 2+2.
> i dropped out of the Suicide King GB, which i recall may have been the last TRK Group Buy. Not long after that GB, Dennis closed TRK.
> not bidding more for the Fitzgeralds lots in the original auction.
> not buying a big set of Vineyards when they first came out. I had to piece my set together at higher prices.
> not participating in some of TCR sales of chips that i really liked (Terrible's, and even recently Jacks).

I am sure there are more, but can't think of them right now.
 
I was getting close to custom hybrids from Old West Poker Supplies. I received a sample set of Mayfair's from @v1pe shortly before we found out about Sal. I'm glad I was able to see these at least, and I have hung around PCF long enough to realize it's good to get a designer before jumping in to this.
