I think I get the general idea. I just don't understand how the game flow goes. Appreciate everything from the basic rules and how the game plays as well as basic strategy points. Thanks all!

OSFP is Olympiacos Syndesmos Fitlathlon Peiraiws, meaning Olympic Club of Peireas' [Athens' port] Sportsmen.
The filthiest, most vulgar and most corrupt football club in Greece.:)
Anyway, football nowadays is just about organised crime.

It seems like flushes on the bottom make for pretty easy profits.

IMHO

1. Learn not to foul
2. Learn some strategy around using the board wisely - don’t clog up your money spots with trash
3. Work towards fantasy - it shouldn’t be your main motivator but high up there.
4. Find a partner and play a million hands

I'm looking more for "Idiot's Guide to OFCP" if that makes sense. I need a rundown of how to deal cards, how and when cards can be placed in each tier, can they be moved later on, etc.

Can’t move cards ever.

Deal 5 cards to each player.
Players place their first 5 cards in whichever rows they like in front of them, all at once at the same time. (You can do it face down then turn them over when everybody’s finished placing their initial five.)
Then you take turns. On your turn you pick one card and put it in any row in front of you. (Or if you’re playing pineapple, you pick 3 cards, place two of them wherever you like in front of you, and discard the 3rd.)
Each player keeps taking turns until everybody’s completed all three of their rows - 5 cards on the bottom, 5 cards in the middle, 3 cards up top.
If your bottom row beat your middle row and your middle row beats your top row, you get your score. If not, you’ve fouled.
You can look up the scoring rules and fantasyland rules, but as for how to play a hand, that’s it - it’s simple.

Got it, I think.

If I draw a card after the initial 5 and I don't like it, can I discard it? Or am I forced to use the subsequent 8 cards that I draw no matter what?

Yeah, there’s no discarding. That’s why a lot of us prefer the pineapple version, where you pick up three each turn and play two of them. I haven’t played it any other way in years.

I think I like the pineapple version better. Especially if playing heads up, the standard version allows only half the decks to be in play any given game.

It’s not so much “draw three” or “pickup three” it’s more “you are dealt three, play two and discard one”.
Unless someone is in fantasy, then you deal everyone the initial five, then 9 more to the fantasy player so he has 14, thirteen to set and one to discard.

So it’s

Deal the players five cards. They must set all five of them.
Then deal three cards to each player, they have to set two and discard one each time.
You can set them in order of deal or just free for all, really the biggest time it matters is if someone is in fantasy. It can matter some but it’s not critical to having fun.
Repeat this until everyone has the three hands finished in front of them.

You can’t move cards once they’ve been set.
Keep track of your discards, it’s easy to set three and forget to discard.
Look up the points or someone had a cut card floating around that has the points chart on it.

Getting into fantasy (all your cards at once) is a good thing to do, but not critical to being successful in this game. Not fouling is critical to any success in this game. It happens, but it shouldn’t every be other hand

How to play OFCP:
  1. Learn the rules and enjoy the new game
  2. Play online, start to believe you're good at it
  3. Start playing against @Thisfiendis138 , @BonScot , @Gear
  4. They let you win a few token games to really drive home the belief that you're good at it
  5. Loose every game for months on end
  6. Belief starts to fade
  7. Keep playing anyway
  8. Stupid game

Is that how it’s supposed to be? Because I play Chinese with a buddy almost once a month, and we play pineapple, and honestly, fantasylands don’t seem to be profitable enough. The extra card makes sense.

Thanks for the heads up on the pokerrr 2 app guys. I'm guessing the OFC game on there is OFCP?
