I think I would be fine but I would like to see some stacks rendered to make sure. If anyone has the ability so show the green in stacks next to the blue I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Here is something I had done previously and added a couple of chips to it, not all 100% final artwork but I think it is close.

I'm still contemplating making a purchase of these (I know time is quickly coming to an end) but just in case I need some opinions on chip stacks. I currently run monthly T2000 tournaments. But what I'm thinking for this set is a 10 person deep stack tournament set, T5000 to be exact. Right now we start with 25-T5, 15-T25, 5-T100 & 2-T500. I start here primarily because it's a lot easier to color up, nice round numbers. We play right now with 2 tables of 8.

So the question is do you think I'd need a T1000 chip? Just give out more T500's? Maybe a few more T100's and T500's? What are your suggestions for starting stacks? What would you color up with?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm attaching the blind schedule we use if that helps. Level 2 is usually omitted but I might use it for the deep stack tournament. I'm thinking we might make this one a 7 or 8 hour event so the blinds would change to 30 minutes.

I really want to put in a order but I will pay more for shipping than for the chips. Still I love this design so much.

Any interest in a GB for these? Price will be approximately 70¢ each + shipping to you. Sun-Fly Hybrid 43mm with smaller 25.4mm inlay.

Please respond if your interested and roughly how many (they will be sold in counts of 25). Note: I think a GB will be started at CD, so I am just seeing if there is interest here and if somebody would like to coordinate with the GB organizer over there. I will not be running the GB

Wouldn’t mind seeing a sample set to see how they feel before buying the complete set

Do we have a hybrid review thread? I searched but didn't find one so I figured I would just add it here. I was asked to compare Sun-Fly hybrid chips to Paulson chips in a PM. They liked my writeup and recommended I add it to the forum. So here goes.

Compare Paulson vs Hybrid Ceramics:
That is a good question. I obviously love these hybrid chips, I created a custom set for my home use. These feel completely different then Paulson chips it is like comparing apples and oranges they are two completely different products. If money was no object and I could create a custom Paulson set then I would choose Paulson chips and not even think twice. However that is not the case, so for me the hybrids are a great 2nd choice.

For comparison, I would say they are a better bud jones chip as far as feel. I have had a couple of ceramic sets and I don't like ceramic chips but I love these hybrid chips. I have some bud jones chips but don't really care that much for them, they are okay but again personally I think the hybrid chips are much better, I also like that they are 43mm chips. (FYI - I have sold all of my ceramic sets.) As a designer I also like the fact that I can customize the entire chip. Price is also great for these as well. I don't really like casino worn Paulsons, so it is hard to find Paulson in good condition in the .70 range.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion, I hope this helps somebody

I’ve been trawling the forum for info on such a comparison today. Definitely is helpful.

I’ve been on the fence because I know these are hybrids and very different, but I hate all ceramics I’ve handled with a passion. The problem is I love 43mm chips almost as much as I hate ceramics.

People seem to love these hybrids though. Decisions decisions

I'm in the dislike ceramic chip camp but love the hybrid chips.

If it helps, I am a big fan of the hybrids as well. They are so much better than traditional ceramics.

By popular demand, the Mountain Top Casino group buy order deadline has been extended to Monday, 4-June.

I'm in the camp with @Perthmike, I have never played with a ceramic chip I like but everyone has only rave reviews on these.

I have 400 Burro's coming so if I like them as much as everyone says I will put in a larger order for these right at the deadline, so i am glad the order deadline has been extended!

I am having a hard time pulling the trigger without seeing/feeling these. Any chance someone could send me 1x $100 cash chip once order is complete?

I will probably end up with a 43mm sunfly set down the road.

You should buy a sample set, it will give you a better idea of how they feel in stacks.

Does anyone here have a set of these hybrid chips? Are the colors susceptible to fading from shuffling and use?

No more than any other printed Sun-Fly ceramic. Probably less so, considering that the center area is a laminated label in a recess (so that area should show no wear at all). I have not personally noticed any degradation, but all of my hybrid sets are relatively new.

I also had a set of ACF hybrids that had seen a lot of prior casino use, and they still looked pretty good.

I'm getting really close to placing an order but I don't know what to do for my T1000 chip. I'm going to go with the red, green, black and purple from the cash set, but where do I go next? I like the spot pattern of the 1000 cash chip but I'm not to fond of the grey color. I feel like a T1000 chip needs to be orange or yellow. I'm not very experienced with spot progression and nothing really pops out at me that instantly says yes, that's the one.

If anyone wants to see what a certain set layout would look like let me know and I can mock them for you.

@Jonesey07 Help!
If you have time in the next few days can you mock up four sets with the red(T5), green(T25), black(T100) and purple(T500) from the cash set and then add the yellows and oranges from both the cash set and tournament set?
Hopefully seeing them each in their own line will help me make a decision.

I really need to learn how to use Illustrator. Makes me feel old that I don't know how to use it very well. Kids always seem to pick these things up so fast. I remember when I was young and would just do something and my dad would say how did you do that? Now I say that to my son.

Not a problem. I can get em done tonight most likely.
