That tree is trying to escape your yard! :ROFLMAO:

Me defending my lawn from a bunch of geese, I had a long stick, and they got frisky…. But victory was mine

This reminds me of my brother who is a free spirited software developer. He bought a new house and planted clover instead of grass. Because reasons. CLOVER!

My wife thinks I'm crazy (which I may be) that I want to kill off the yard and start a complete renovation. It won't happen anytime soon but the two main reasons are a Poa issue (not seen here) and to level my yard so I could possibly reel mow. That would also be the time I install an irrigation system...lots of planning.

Those renovations threads over at TLF are inspiring as the new lawns always turn out so great.

I’m super happy with how my lawn is improving year over year. A couple years of airation/seeding plus natural lawn. Also hand caught a rouge mole. It was live action but I got em.

Kudos to your lawn improvement, and for making back to back posts in this thread 7 months apart!

Looking back on my yard a few years ago, it's amazing how much better it is

Dogs enjoying our new synthetic turf. The rest of the yard is garden beds and a home vineyard with mustard, clover and wild flower under crop . Lawns are kind of an environmental wasteland but at least the synthetic turf doesn’t require water , maintenance or chemical

I have a lawn (ish) in the front. Fake grass in the back for the dog. We’re probably replacing the grass in front with decorative small rocks and putting stuff like prickly pear out there. Just seems like a waste of money to irrigate and maintain 12x14 lawn in front where it stays north of 105F all summer.

It’s not a lawn on the patio, but Roscoe the Bulldog treats it like that. He could stay out there literally for hours in the sun.

Looks awesome! Lawn nut questions now...
  • What kind of grass is that?
  • What is the height of cut?
  • Do you have a striping kit or is that just from the mower?
I have a retired guy across the street that I think gets upset when I throw my stripes in his face. I do work from home so it does make it at lot easier to spend a few minutes here and there cleaning things up.

• Bermuda
• Currently 3”
• Just mower, it’s fluffy and super thick

This thread reminds me why I love American houses so much!

What grass species are you working with? I’m a Bermuda in the south only kinda guy, so that’s where I shine.

Honestly, I think it's bermuda, but as a former noetherner I'm not 100% sure. How can I verify?
