Hi everyone. I’m new to the forum and thought I’d introduce myself.
I go by papawheelie, a name left over from my former life as a motorcyclist. These days most of my competitive energy goes into poker rather than bikes.
I first really learned the game while in Renan and got hooked pretty quickly. Since then I’ve been organizing small tournaments with people from work. So far we’ve run four events and they’ve been a good success, mostly low-buy-in hold’em with a solid group of regulars.
I mainly play tournaments rather than cash games. I’m still learning the finer points of strategy and bankroll discipline, so I’m interested in reading how others approach the game and improving my play.
