I played my first cash game for actual money about 6 months ago. I quickly became obsessed and have since read 7 books on the subject, watched hundreds of hours of online content and play in tournaments 2ish times a week and also at weekly with the same friends for a pretty casual cash game. I'm somehow lifetime up so far, which I mostly attribute to mostly playing against people with a not-very-high-skill-level and more than my fair share of luck. Still plenty of time for things to swing back the other way though ahahaha.

Since I also a have a taste for the finer things in life (a taste which usually exceeds my bank account) I've also started looking into potential upgrades for my own personal poker set, which I've quickly learned is, while functional, somewhat cheap and nasty.

Looking to learn more about what makes good chips and of course, all things poker!

Cheers

P.S I live in Perth, Western Australia, which is releveant since I suspect the majority of this forum is US based ??

For clarity, the 'first cash game' was obviously a home game, and the personal poker set is also for the home games which I host.

Welcome to PCF! And the answer is clay, clay makes good chips… :p

Welcome - playing in college led me to the forums 20+ years ago. There's lots available to learn on here.
