Bellagio: Tribute or not tribute? - That is the question!
Hi,
after years of collecting, mostly Paulson casino chips, I decided that it is the time to start with a custom set.
First thoughts: I would like to get a timeless set, but no white 1's, red 5's, green 25's etc. because I already got three of those sets (PNY, St. Jo's sec. set, HS Cleveland)
Inlay - After purchasing some Rounders samples with different molds I started to like the CPC chips but also decided, that I would like to get more colorful spots + progression. Although I liked the simple inlay I was pretty sure, that I want something different.
Regarding to the inlay my most favorite casino chip is the Mirage (5$) with the colored palms, but after some first mock ups it looked like the colored palms and the colorful spots do not match together. I realized, that I also prefer the dark background of my HS Clevelands, or the Casli Rounders. Next influence was the Bellagio tribute SDPM mold set and now I am pretty sure, that a simple & dark inlay should be the first choice. My last name starts with a "B", so why don't use the Bellagio "B" in the background?!
Spots - Well, this is a hard decision. From my point I would like to copy an idea of a pro, because I am not a pro. There are several color combos out there which I like, but I reduced them to just a few (for example the Mirage 5's are great, but it's again a red 5$ chip...)
I had a look at some customs at this board and at the current casino chips and made a few adjustments. I know, that there are a lot of people who believe, that you should invent your own color combos, but I like the save way and would like to know what I get, before I place an order. Hope there are some people who understand my point.
Mock ups - Nevertheless here we go:

EDIT NOVEMBER, THE 21ST. 2017!!!
- 1st. "original"
- 2nd lavender, red, orange, dg tiger is maybe too much red so why not change that
-
- 3rd is a mixture of the original and 2nd version + another green for the green chip
- Something very different to the Bellagio theme, but I still like it
