4 of a Kind
Good question. I'm not 100% sure, but here is what I find.Nice PrOn! Plaques are expensive. How many plaques per person are normally recommended? I assume at some point it makes more sense to switch over to a chip vs a plaque if you need a large number of that denom, so I wonder what that magic number could be (i.e. having 10 plaques per person or 100 plaques on the table for a 10 player single table may not make as much sense as using chips instead)?
So what, maybe 3 plaques per player? Seems like that will have more perceived value if they are rarer on the table and also helps with staying within budget constraints. I'm curious what the plaque guys feel is the right amount of plaques on a 10man table?
For cash:
I typically have 16 to 20 players (so cut the below plaque counts in half for 10 players).
We play .50 / $1 NL, but the game plays more like a $1 / $2 game.
I have 20 x $20 plaques and 10 x $100.
Roughly $2000 in chips in play in addition to the plaques. There are times I need 10 more $20 plaques, but I usually have enough.
Tournaments:
We play a 10 person tournamnet every month. I like just using the highest denomination for plaques starting with 1 plaque per player stack and chipping up with additional plaques. I think you can go with 2 to 3 plaques per player doing that.
