IMO, always have the denoms large, so that, everyone can see them.. I would be careful on having any of the edge spots match.. I have never liked this mold or large inlays.. But these are my opinions.. I do like the concept..

Duplicating edge spot patterns -- and far worse, using identical colors -- across all chips is a really bad idea. It goes against the very reason for having edge spots in the first place, which is make each chip unique so as to help tell the the chips apart from one another -- in pots, in stacks, and on camera.

Planning on aligned-edge ceramics?

At the very least, vary the spot colours. The same spot pattern across different chips could still work.
