Has anyone ever seen a non-Cali $500 casino chip that was larger than 39mm?

Cali casinos seem to use 43mm for $100 and up
Everywhere else seem to use 43mm for $1000 and up.

Would this pretty much be the standard?
 
The casino here in Alberta that I go to for poker uses an over size 500 chip but thats also the biggest chip and I have only ever seen a handful.
 
Would a pic of it be on ChipGuide?
 
Ok cool. Interesting chip colors. Never saw a yellow $1 chip before. I like those blue RHC .50 chips.

Ever thought about getting some of those to label?
 
yup thought about it a few times. Half are labeled half are hot stamped
 
It's a nice looking chip for sure. I was saying label them as quarters. :cool: More useful that .50 chips IMO.
 
Those are some cool looking chips. I like all those RHC denominations Saw. Wish I lived close to it, I'd at least pick up a sample set from there lol
 
so ill inform you they have 3 paulson chips for the cash floor and then they have a separate .50 1 5 25 100 and 500 for floor tables and those are bud jones. In case you only want the paulsons or a complete set.

Haha should I mention that there are 5 other casinos in my city that also use paulson chips
 
I'm starting to get a bit envious. My closest casino uses electronic tables next closest just arnt that good looking

And in all truth I say I would take a rack of the fifties and two of the ones I just don't have the cash at this time
 
I'd just be interested in the Paulson chips. What are those other casinos nearby you? :)

The only casinos near me that use Paulson are over 2 hours away. Everything nearby uses Icon and/or really worn out Chipcos.
 
I'm loving the Baccarat Paulsons as well so I'd buy a set of those and that Century Casino if you can get them :).

This actually gives me an idea. Tommy what about having a section where people can post what local casinos they are near and what the chips look like and those that are willing could offer sample sets from their local casinos to those that are interested in purchasing them. Maybe being it would be a larger forum effort we all agree to charge just face value plus shipping in the thought that you'll get the chance to buy cool samples from other peoples local casinos? Idk maybe its a Terrible idea lol. I've got two local casinos near me so if people were interested in sample sets I'd be willing to try and get them. I've gotten the 2.50, 5, 25, and 100 when playing blackjack but I've never gotten the .50 or 1 dollar. Maybe those are used for poker or a rake I'm not sure.

A dedicated thread might be better than a new section with a few threads in it for now. I believe the .50 chip can be used when a BJ table min bet is $1 too. I remember a casino in AC using real quarters on their BJ tables. Probably 20 years ago.

Yes, Paulson, B&G, Bud Jones, and Matsui. Dunno about Sun-Fly or GOCC. Spinetti's has them for sale.
