Do you like Eagle Rare? I thought it tasted very close to that, maybe it’s just me. I enjoyed it but my problem is that I have to buy and try almost every bottle.

Just finished my second glass and even though the finish is on the shorter side for me, it’s definitely a tasty pour
Now i’m curious about how this one stacks up to the other bottles in the HW line up

Up here in IN it is $26 plus tax on a good day. Very good for the price!

Today I added a Makers 46 to my cabinet for $35 all in. In about ten days I have given myself permission to try unopened bottles of
Makers Mark regular
MM 101
MM Cask Strength
MM 46
over and over to see which I like best. It’s a shame there is no MM 46 Cask Str in there, but that is a unicorn for most of us I imagine.

Agreed on the finish. It’s tasty, and enjoyable, but side-by-side the MWND is superior.

So to compare I opened the Russel's single barrel. Higher proof which masks the greater complexity. Both are great bourbons!
