Had this for a while. Finally cracked it open. MGP finished in Mizanura casks.

Took the recommendation. All of it :)

If you don’t think as highly of it as I do, I’ll take it off your hands. I actually found another one this evening and scooped it up…I wouldn’t be opposed to a third  :ROFLMAO:

I’ll put it up against any cask strength sherry bomb single malt I’ve had up to this point!

Nope, these are staying here. :) I'm going to hold off on a full review until the next pour, but I'm digging this, nice offering. Leans a little more on the sweeter side with the sherry cask notes, but nicely balanced with the rye spice, nice and dark and rich. Buy all day at msrp.

Is it me, or is this price at least $30 under where I would normally see it? WP corporate price drop?

Recently ran across this EC BP rye. I don't recall ever seeing this one. I see that it's A126, so is this something they are just getting started, or have I

just been missing it? I didn't pick it up but I'm very curious

New Riff Malted Rye Sherry Finish

Nose: sherry cask influence up front - sweet black cherry, vanilla / sugar cookie, balanced by a sweet rye spice

Palate: dry dark stonefruit and rye/baking spices, creamy rich mouthfeel. Flavor builds on repeated sips

Finish: medium, lingering dry wine and rye spice

8.6 / 10

ECBP Rye A925

Nose: dark caramel, rye, sweet oak, toasted marshmallows, hints of dark chocolate and cherry.

Palate: inital blast of a dark chocolate cherry cordial, yielding to brighter red fruit (borderline strawberries!) and a sweet rye spice. Leather and subtle oak notes in the background. Incredibly well balanced and crazy complex. Very, very drinkable too - just a hair too thin, I wish the proof was like 10 points higher.

Finish: medium to long sweet vanilla, rye spice and aged oak

9.3 / 10
