First Fryeday pour in quite some time! Figured it might as well be a good one:cool

This year's offering wasn't quite as good as the original, but still damn tasty. I really wish they'd up this to barrel proof....

I love maderia cask finishes!

Happy fryeday!

The sagamore was seemingly delivered overnight from CA, super excited to try it.

Got sucked into the liquor store with a 15% off coupon, happy to find a backup OO11. One of my wine managers held back this MM PS slam dunk for me too - I’m a sucker for collectibles :sneaky:
How is the Sag9? I haven't cracked mine yet.

First sip was OO11 and it’s such a solid pour - so flavorful, the barrel notes are in a great spot.

The sagamore is much more pronounced. It’s so much darker, the rye plus oak makes me want to believe it’s older (until you get to the second half of the finish). It’s a damn good pour, hoping to find a backup of it, and a bottle of the sag 8yr to compare against it.

I’m really happy with both bottles, especially for the price - really hoping we get more in this age-quality-price range next year.

Local store had a tasting of these this morning. Quite enjoyed the 16 and the smoky 12.

Picked up a bottle of Woodford Reserve spontaneously. Cracking it open here now post-dinner.

Have been enjoying exploring some different bourbons of late. Thinking of adding a couple more to try over the holidays.

Have these on the list. Help me pick 2 to try next! :)

Anybody have or had the sherry finished New Riff malted rye? I think they have released it 2022, 2023, and 2024 now. I just heard about it the other day for the first time, since I've never seen it on a shelf.

interesting. Everyone I've heard from says that their #5 is awful. I mean, EVERYONE !!. I have a bottle, but haven't opened it yet, as I am sort of afraid to

The only positive I've heard about the GTG bourbon was that it'd be a great $50-60 bottle....I'm hoping to try the rye before I'm tempted to buy the bottle at my local.

The still austin 5yr red corn is a great pour. Very much looking forward to the 5yr blue corn.

I cannot believe that Russell's 15 didn't make the top 10, but the GTG was 5 and the WT70th was 8th
Yeah you have to take these lists with a grain of salt, but I was very surprised not to see RR15 or OF1924. Maybe those will pop up in 11-20.

Lots of scotch this year, and no Irish whiskeys which is a bummer.
