Let's be honest. We love our kids almost as much as we love our poker chips. So let's have a thread dedicated to bragging on them for a minute. Because, as we all know, time flies. Sports, Academics, Life's Milestones - whateva. Show us what your kid's got.

I'll start. Here is my only daughter. A Freshman who is playing both JV and Varsity softball. She crushed it today. She scored the first run in both games. Pinch runner and Center Field for Varsity and Catcher/3B for JV. She had 4 hits and 6 runs today - one of which fell a couple feet short of being over the fence.

I have triplets that are Freshman in college (2 girls and a boy). The girls play D1 soccer and volleyball; my son plays Xbox..lol. 2 got 4.0s first semester and the other had all As and a B+ (no student got an A in that class).

It's been a very long journey. They dragged me all over the country with their club sports. I can finally get some sleep now.

I have more time for poker, but no money to play.

My son is going to the Ontario Winter Games in two weeks as one of the top 20 5 pin bowlers for his age in the province. His average is 209, which is really high for 5 pin.

Junior in HS, 4.0+ GPA, looking at a full academic ride, and a possible ride on a hockey or lacrosse scholarship to a D3/ACHA school.

We love our kids almost as much as we love our poker chips.
Flawed premise, but great idea for a thread...

He seems like a smart kid, with a good head on his shoulders, but with no other debt, he should be paying down that mortgage ASAP and be dumping 15% of his income into retirement. Kid is gonna Boother it before age 50.

I believe he paid off a third of it as his down payment. I'm sure he won't have a mortgage for long.

Assuming no other debt, Dave Ramsey recommends having 3 to 6 months worth of expenses in an emergency fund. Then max 15% of income to retirement. Then, pay off your home. Pay cash for your cars, buy used if you have to.

Great jersey number! I wore 7 every possible time I could. Sadly I'm wearing 95 now in beer league as one of the old timers already had 7.

Ashlyn wears #7 as well - basketball and softball
