Royal Flush
Oh dear. Yes, I seriously doubt that. I’ve watched so much Phil content, I’m fairly certain that none of it is an act. Sure, he markets himself as the poker brat, but that’s because he has no other choice. He can’t control who he is.Phil is a baby, and while alot of his attitude is put on for branding purposes (can anyone seriously doubt that?), alot of it isn't.
did you watch the new High Stakes Poker? At a table full of young pros who think he’s a cash game joke, he dominates the table talk, bragging about himself nonstop. And it’s not just poker. He’s a world class name dropper. He brags about his business ventures. His books. His family life. EVERYTHING.
I listen to Mike Matusow’s podcast (though I wouldn’t recommend it, and I get a lot of Helmuth insight there. Phil is a good man and a smart man with a big heart. But don’t kid yourself. Humans are complex and with Phil, what you see when the camera are rolling is 100% reality - he’s incapable of controlling himself.
