I'm always on the lookout for chips locally for sale and occasionally I bump into something fun. My best to date was the guy who let loose a bunch of the Riflestein's for a really good deal. I think this latest one may be #2. I found this little solid / hot stamp set locally over the weekend and I'm really digging it. These chips are the cleanest I've bought "used". These things are every bit as mint as my custom CPC's straight from the factory. Anyways just enjoying this one, it's a 250 piece cash set. You guys still finding gems out there?

Great score! If only people knew about playable breakdowns back then

Maybe there is a lot of road in the rear view mirror with these chips. Some of us can tell stories of when a letter cost you .13 to mail and when you could buy two hotdogs, a bag of chips and a soda for $1 at the high school baseball games.

Converting the face value of those chips by today's $$$, you would have $1, $2.50, $5 and $25, respectively.

Haven’t had a good find in quite a while, seems to be drying up. Been working on a lead for a year without much progress :(

Interesting way to look at it. I like it!

Oh I thought maybe you were the one that discovered the mother lode :D
No I met the young man in person who received them from his grandfather and brought them to market. He had thousands of them.. He and I had a deal in place but folks swayed him by offering ridiculous amounts of money per rack. I only ended up with a couple but it was neat to see in person.
