Two limpers for $5, I limp CO with :kh::th::9s::5s:

Button juices it to 20, we all call

Flop :ks::8h::5h:

BB bets 100, fish calls, I pot to 500. Button folds, both other guys get it in. Fish only runs once

Turn :jh:
River :3h:

We are good and bust them both. Fish switches tactics and max buys for 1k

Good lord, what's going on with the chips here? $1 Paulson and the rest some GPI plastics?

In for 1k. Was down $400 at one point, but rallied to cash out +$802 and eating my free meal

New table had a guy nicknamed "Bully" two to my left sitting on 4k who plays a much bigger private PLO game and he's done a flip here for $25,000 (each)

Very aggressive plus he tries to pick and choose running once or twice (if he thinks he can only win once he only goes once)

The best PLO pro from Hard Rock was two to my right, and so I wind up stuck in the middle

Unlike these guys I don't need to win every chip on the table. $800 is a fantastic session

A well known fake tell used by all competent OMCs
When in the history of poker could an OMC use hand shaking = strength as a fake tell? When he's coming in for his fifth 3-bet of the week with aces yet again?

Forgot to mention I hit the Hard Rock before TGT because I had "mystery" freeplay of $30 up to 1k. No mystery, it was the absolute minimum like always. Managed to cash out for $45 at least

Anyway, the off-ramp is usually occupied by a "homeless" person with a tiny cardboard sign. The people there change in shifts

But anyway, the one there today was wearing a brand new Bucs sport jersey and baseball cap

If you're going to scam people out of money, at least try and look the part

Also forgot to mention, off Tues/Wed, then:

Thursday:

7pm at TGT a 2-table $6/12 fixed limit 9-game mix is running (6 handed at each table, we had been doing one 8-handed table and the dealers kept having to reshuffle during the draw games)

Friday:

Not sure what time I'll be there, but probably afternoon into evening

Saturday:

Also not sure on the time yet, might be earlier in the day so I can lock in a seat at the PLO table since there's usually a tourney that mucks up seating until later. Or might go in the afternoon/evening

Sunday

Off, playing D&D

Wish I could give a good report for the mixed game, but got completely crushed for $500

Had three hands in lowball draw games where I was beat by one card (like A2568 losing to A2468 in A-5 lowball)

Had one drooler in the O8 round 5-handed defend his BB against my UTG raise with QT86 and then KNOWING I had an Ace on an AAJ flop he check-called my flop bet to hit his K gutshot on the turn, and the river 6 didn't fill me up (I had raised A38T one suit)

From the first dealer I was stuck $200. The 2nd dealer got me back up with a slight profit.

But I couldn't win in the draw games, despite starting with some real monsters, I'd just brick out or wind up chopping as people were calling raises and drawing 3-4 cards

Even though we were finally playing two tables of 6, rather than one table with 8, we still ran into the dealer having to reshuffle the deck a few times cause some of these guys just won't fold

One kid drew 5 in 2-7 lowball and just binked a wheel, but was such an action player nobody believed him (I wasn't even at that table)

The first dealer I had was in rotation with us multiple times and seemed to be my kryptonite, I would get hands strong enough to continue drawing through the river, but whiff or be beat slightly each time

I did have a few interesting hands early where I stood pat with a straight in 2-7 triple draw and the other two players folded to my river bet. Another hand where I picked off a river bluff with Q-high (my opponent had a pair) and another where I picked off another bluffer in 2-7 with K-high (he had Ace high lol)

But I know I started trying to hero call in some spots against the wrong players that cost me bets

Despite all my complaining, I still had fun, and the fish got fed, so they'll be back for more next time

Sounds like a very juicy game.

I believe I've picked someone off with a pair in 2-7 before, likely deuces. Definitely did it with ace-high just last week (and was right). I do love me some hero calls, if the moment is right.

My wife just said "oh, I'll just tell the bill collectors we can pay them in fun this month!"
You're crazy giving her session updates. I don't play professionally, but I play a lot, and I don't usually tell my wife (a non-gambler) my results, win or lose. In my experience, non-gamblers just don't think about these things in a useful way.

If I hit a big win, it sounds like "We have a bunch of money to [buy big thing she wants / go on a trip]!"

If I lose, it sounds like I'm just a compulsive gambler pissing away money.

If she asks "How was poker?" I'll give her "It was good" or "Eh, it was okay." No numbers.

She was being funny, made me crack up.

I'm completely transparent with my results to her. We've been together 20 years, married 15. She knows sometimes I'm going to lose, but in the end overall I will win

She has this understanding, and she's not a poker player (or mathematician) herself?

Everyone's situation is different I'm sure, but I tell my wife the results of about home sessions if she asks. She generally does ask.

Also about results of any infrequent trips to casinos.
