Hello folks, I joined this site a year ago, but had great difficulty navigating around, yes, I'm an 'auld fella'. Can anyone tell me how many posts I have to make to be able to contact other folks on the classified section, or what I need to do? I not a great chit chatter. I have held a few 30-man poker tournaments in my local town, for local pubs and dart teams or fun nights when asked. All for free, I might add, and used to hold small home cash games back in the great poker trend in the 2010s. But I gave myself a break for a good few years. Recently I un-earthed all my old chip sets and I have lost many. I have a fair few useless half sets that need broken up or sold off to folks that may need to find chips no longer available on the market. Believe me, I've tried. However I live in Northern Ireland and it's a bit 'out of the way' if you understand me. Anyway thanks for reading. I hope this adds to my post list requirement. Cheers!

Thanks Easylife. Will look it up. I never had any 'legal' problems, but I get your point. I only ever held 2 smallish (around 20 people) tournaments at pubs, both times at the landlords request, this was around 15 years ago. But legally for me, there was no money on the table and therefore it was just a 'fun night' out. Held a few tourneys in private clubs and halls around town. Never had any real trouble. When hosting I never played in the tournaments because I had to be available when disputes happened over hands or betting, also you can't win your own tournament -right? Good to find a fellow NIer.

I'm sure if you have some unplayable sets of decent quality then there will be buyers here. You may be pleasantly surprised (or shocked, even) to see how prices have increased since you were last in the market.

Cheers allforcharity, I have noticed the price increases. Proper casino grade clay chips are now completely out of my price range and I envy some of the beautiful chipsets I see on here. I am more mid-range home set, and a not at all wealthy 'hobbyist' Though I do have a Paulson home set (again un-usable) many of my unbalanced chips are the cheaper ones but now sadly discontinued and I can't find them anymore to re-supply. You guys on the American continent are so lucky to have these all on your doorstep.

Cheers allforcharity, I have noticed the price increases. Proper casino grade clay chips are now completely out of my price range and I envy some of the beautiful chipsets I see on here. I am more mid-range home set, and a not at all wealthy 'hobbyist' Though I do have a Paulson home set (again un-usable) many of my unbalanced chips are the cheaper ones but now sadly discontinued and I can't find them anymore to re-supply. You guys on the American continent are so lucky to have these all on your doorstep.

I would argue that you are just as lucky, having your Northern Ireland on your doorstep. Cheers!
