Update on this whole process

1) I got a factory invoice from Matsui today. The date the racks will ship to the US is "Sailing on or about" February 12th. My understanding is 3-4 days shipping once it is actually shipped.

2) I ordered and received boxes and labels from USPS and have begun staging the boxes, so hopefully the turn around from my end is not too long

Everyone that got a PM is in my excel spreadsheet and has a spot. I also have an extra 10 racks in the order just in case anything gets cracked/etc there won't be an issue - hoping selling those to a wait lister will be possible assuming nothing is damaged. I believe there may be a total ask of 50 that are unaccounted for right now. Not enough for a buy yet, but you could probably start a list.

So good news/bad news.

Good news: I got a shipping notification yesterday and the racks showed up at my house today! They must have shipped from the factory late last week but the notification was late getting emailed out.

Bad news: I'm not so ready to ship as I thought. I was hoping the racks would show up with some sort of packing material, but they just showed up in a big box. Instructions from @Tommy on packing them safely:

I shipped them in doubled LFRB. They are much sturdier that way. I also shrink wrapped the racks so they don't open in transit. There is a pic posted somewhere. Then I used packing paper to fill the empty space on the sides. Padded flat rate envelope on the top and bottom usually.

I'm going to order more LFRB from the post office right now as well as some padded flat rate envelopes. Also going to amazon prime some packing paper and shrink wrap. This amount of packing + the time to receive the materials is going to take me a while to get through. I only have ~1-2 hours/day to devote to this project - so hoping everyone will be patient with me. If anyone wanted to send me another dollar or two to offset packing supplies that'd be great as well.

Just as an update, I have Saran wrapped 200 racks so far. I also received one box of padded mailers today (I have more on order, but can only order so many at a time). This should allow me to ship the first 10-20 boxes this week. The rest should hopefully go out next week.

Turns out the shipping is $21.10 not $19.99 - I guess postal rates have gone up. If you sent money to help with packing materials please do not send anymore, I have received enough to cover your packages as well as the shipping materials. If you didn't send anything for packing materials I'm looking for you to send $1 per 10 racks you ordered to help defray shipping cost. I know it's not much per box, but it adds up if you're sending so many boxes.
