First time signer upperer.

As with most people, I started with the interlocking bicycle chips.
Then moved onto the "100% casino grade professional deluxe custom 11.5g" weighted dice chips.

But since working in a casino with ceramics, I've always wanted at set. I just couldn't afford one on a dealer's salary.

I knew there were people that were chip snobs but I never discovered a gathering place for them until now.
So I've decided to join the ranks of my fellow chip snobs and move onto something better than the "casino grade" dice chips.

Oh and I'm a table snob too.
Fun fact. pokertableforum.com redirects to the poker table section here.

Welcome to the forum man!

I live out in Mission and host poker. Love poker chips too and have a couple TChan tables and play in his game also.

Great to see another Lower Mainlander join up..

There are other great local members and hosts to meet bro, in addition to the whole darn site. It's full of amazing peeps!

If you want a set of ceramics use @BR Pro Poker and you will not regret it. My set is here https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/gene-kristil-micro-stakes-magic.53333/#post-1014678

Oh that's hot.
I wish I could host but my place is too small.
Although I am currently hosting poker online for the group that I usually play with regularly live.

I'm actually thinking of building a couple of tops. I've built a few tables in the past but don't have the facilities available in a condo.
I kinda miss a house sometimes....

I noticed there's a ton of people around here in GVRD. I'm actually surprised.

Damn... I thought I knew most of the websites that you could get chips from. I did not know about that one.
I'm kind of sad that the only set that appeals to me is the Tiki set.
I'm currently talking to a supplier in China to see what they can do.

Love the rack shot. So pretty....

If you are not a fan of offering from brpro, check out @SUN-FLY Poker Chips they have some different stuff
Those are better but still not quite.
Spaydz would be pretty nice but they're impossible to read it looks like.
I love the look of suits, but the limited denominations kills it for me. I'm tempted to get some more custom made.
Enigma is just cool with the octogon shape.

If I don't custom design a set I might buy Veneratis but I hear the quality has gone to hell recently.
I don't know how legit the seller I'm talking to is in China, but they're quoting me something like $0.25 each in the quantities I want (3000 initial top up to 5000 total later).

I'm ordering a sample, but they're slow AF right now.

EDIT: The Veneratis is how I discovered this site in the first place.
The first thread I read on here was this one

Where in the GVRD are you? A good chance someone local has samples. Although with ceramics and china clays I imagine the quality can vary based on the run.

Welcome... just don't turn out to be a scrub ass donkey :p
That ship has sailed LONG ago....

Also what did you do in the casino?
Pit. We weren't big enough for poker.
Ended up being a supervisor but that doesn't mean squat when you have 8 total tables and no "interesting" games.

I actually wasn't expecting so many people to be in Vancouver TBH.

I've handled quite a few different chips in my life (been a chip snob since I was young) so these samples are literally samples for production instead of "feeling how they are". I already know what I want I just have to nail down someone to make them for me.
