Went down with a few friends to play the $150 green chip bounty game today.
Casino is in an old mall in Rochester, NH. They put a lot of money into it from the looks of things. Some of these places look like a VFW with slots and tables. This one looks like a legit casino. When you walk in you're greeted by a bunch of slots, then to the right is the poker room and main cage (poker room has it's own cage), to the left are table games, bathrooms, and the bar and dining area. Then further to the left is a small, closed off smoker's room with slots.
Not very busy on a Wednesday morning, but definitely had some folks playing, including a few older folks gambling their SS checks from the looks of it.
I walked up to the main cage and got my player's card. Walked into the poker room to register. 12 nine seated tables with DM2s spread out. They had a short list for 1/3 NLHE and a couple of folks looking for 2/5 NLHE and 4/8 Limit O8/Stud 8 mix but no actual games running yet. After reg, met up with friends at the bar before the game started.
I played OK. Probably misplayed a hand early with 99 where I checked a turn I probably should have bet when an ace came and lost to a rivered pair of 10s, but not a big loss at that point. Won a decent pot when I jammed over 4 limpers with KK (for about 15 BBs) and took it down pre-flop. I went out with about 7 BBs with A4d when I came all in over the top of a guy playing basically every hand pre-flop and he called me with K3o. Flop was 456 with one diamond. Turn was a 7d to give him the straight and me a flush draw and then a black jack on the river and I was out.
Game was pretty soft, the room was nice, the Brush was a super nice guy that was very attentive. Dealers were good. The deckmates looked used, but they worked pretty well. I think I saw one jam. One dealer said Hellmuth has a 10% stake in the place. Not sure if he does personally or if he's in an ownership or investment group that does. One gripe was the bathroom was on the opposite side of the casino from the poker room, but not a horrible walk. Also, the starting stacks had too many 5k chips in my opinion, but I suppose I get that they're trying to save some money and keep the costs down a bit somewhere. Overall a good experience. I'd say 4.5/5 would play again.

- 11am start
- $150 buy-in
- 25k stacks (Paulson's, I think RHC maybe?)
- 100/200/200 to start with no blind doubles throughout
- Green chip bounties
- 20% rake
- Rebuys and add-ons until the end of level 8 which was 1000/2000/2000 so not a great investment.
- No comps or jackpots for tourneys, but you earn points towards invitationals apparently.
