Hi everybody,
François here, creator of LeShuffler.
First, I apologise for not responding here sooner.
Following the Kickstarter deliveries, backers were directed to the LeShuffler Discord community, and that is where I have concentrated most of my attention: answering owners’ questions, resolving individual issues and continuing the development of the machine.
I failed to keep monitoring this PokerChipForum thread at the same time. That was a genuine blind spot on my side, and I understand why the lack of response here created concern.
I have now contacted
@minedelta privately so that I can identify the machine he tested, understand what has already been tried and assist him directly.
More generally, to the best of my knowledge, every technical issue brought to us through Discord or direct support has either been resolved or is actively being addressed. The Discord community has been extremely useful in identifying individual mechanical adjustments, differences between card types and areas where the firmware could be improved.
A significant firmware improvement has already addressed several issues reported with the first machines. The latest firmware is auto-adaptive: it adjusts LeShuffler’s operation to the individual machine and the cards being used, eliminating the need for repeated manual adjustments.
At the same time, we have continued improving the hardware.
The V2 loading system is now in final testing and should be ready within the next two weeks. It incorporates redesigned loading components intended to provide more consistent card intake and considerably quieter loading.
A retrofit incorporating these improvements will also be made available to Kickstarter backers, so that the first owners can benefit from the work completed since the initial production run.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the original Kickstarter loading system and the new V2 loading system. Both clips were recorded under the same conditions, with fixed microphone gain.
The redesigned V2 hardware improves loading consistency and is noticeably quieter during card loading. The comparison allows the practical difference between the two versions to be heard directly.
With the latest firmware, a full-deck shuffle normally takes 1:15 to 1:20. The longer times mentioned earlier in this thread relate to earlier firmware versions.
A couple of other points raised in the discussion may be worth clarifying:
- Final card discharge. What was described as the cards “dripping” from the machine is the controlled final discharge of the shuffled deck from the internal carousel into the collection tray. It is part of the normal operating sequence, rather than a misfeed.
- Size and placement. LeShuffler has a footprint of 318 × 154 mm, or approximately 12.5 × 6.1 in. It is designed as a freestanding tabletop machine. An owner reported on PCF that it worked well on a side table and at the end of a Barrington with around eight players.
Owners and interested PCF members are welcome to join the Discord community here:

Discord remains the most practical place for machine-specific support, firmware updates and detailed technical discussion. However, I will also make sure that I continue monitoring this PokerChipForum thread and respond here in a timely manner.
Thank you for the candid feedback. I will update the discussion once I know more about the particular machine tested by
@minedelta, and I will also share the final V2 results when the new hardware is ready.
François
