Ditto here. Just found out myself.Late to this thread, and haven't read all the way through, but gutted to hear this news.
John was a major contributor to the chipping community. Not only his best in class designs for some of the most iconic sets in the community -- xhttps://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/post-your-j5-designs.134435/#post-2737877 -- but he also helped build the CPC Poker Chip Design Tool, an invaluable aid towards realizing the dream of a custom set.
I'm glad to say I'd gotten to work with him on a few designs, and he was always a consummate professional, but also loved to talk chips!
RIP Johnny5!
Can you give us some more details how this was produced?
@Potsie1 did several runs of special dealer buttons a few years back, including the Halloween ones. Didn't realize the design work was done by John, though. Can you give us some more details how this was produced?

Looks like I'm mistaken. I looked up the threads for this button and one of the others I bought. Doesn't look to be any mention of J5.
I can help clarify. My very first offering of clear acrylic dealer buttons were designed by John and @p5woody. My very first premium dealer button was the matsui zen designed by John Faulhaber. Every subsequent premium button, the holiday ones etc. were all designed by me.Hmm. Maybe I was correct. This thread mentions J5 contributing. So not sure now.

I love the four seasons buttonsJohn was always an absolute pleasure to work with, kind, humble, and incredibly thoughtful about his craft. We were just wrapping up a project together when he passed, and this felt like the right place to share a glimpse of his vision.
These were concepts for a thick, ultra-premium Matsui Zen dealer button. The button itself will not be made, but I wanted people to see the beautiful artwork and his incredible sense of balance and color.
He was a genuinely good person, and I’m glad to have known him.

This one is one of my all-time favourite cash set ever, together with The Post and Silver Star.Only just catching up on the sad news.
The creative powerhouse behind countless awesome custom chip sets; and the inspiration for my own flirtations with chip design.
John was the consummate professional, always positive, helpful, accommodating and patient (my endless tweaks and changes never seemed to drive him mad, miraculously!!).
John designed both of my Black Cat sets (ASM FDL tourney and CPC DIASQ cash).

Part of John's legacy will be all the amazing sets he helped bring into the world. I hope those that are lucky enough to own a J5 set treasure them always. R.I.P. John.
