I'm interested in their Federal 52 PVC series.

They are cool. I can take different pics if anyone is interested. I also mentioned above that if anyone wants to try them, I have several decks that have been opened but never used. I'd sell them for ~$10 plus shipping, depending on deck.

I would just argue that they are cooler on the wall to look at as a discussion piece than anything else.

Has anyone put these in a game, do they hold up, any complaints from old eyes?

I have, and the cards with very busy art and/or small pips can be difficult to see. I also think those with muted colors for the suits can be difficult.

So I reached out to the manufacturer, they have a 1000 deck quota. I was wondering about the PVC aspect. Seems like the KEMs are softer than Desjgn, and those are both softer than Copaq. I prefer the Kems and Desjgn, how do they compare to the other brands?
