I love more simple cash sets, which is something that has developed over the years I guess. Hadn’t really thought about it until I tried to think of my favorites sets just now.

OCC is my grail. Its where it all began for me and it has shaped inlays with fracks! Also the ice cream looking blue works with this set as normally I prefer a white $1 however truly the nostalgia alone here trumps anything. Ah the good old days of limit poker….

So many tough choices. My options based on chip envy would come down to two that I had the privilege to play with and I felt like I needed surgical gloves to touch them.

- @Chippy McChiperson's glorious Mapes set a couple of years ago at @krafticus's house when I was in Baltimore for work. (@ChipFinderSK across from me in the Ravens Ed Reed jersey trying to devise a plan to stack me, probably):

- Have to agree with @Ben8257 on this one: @Lil Tuna's magnificent TRK set, which Matt graciously brought to the KC Straddle. No comments on the small chip stack at this circus table. I was lost with some of the games. To make it worse, I had @k9dr to my right, and then @inca911 and @BootySnatcher to my immediate left. All I kept hearing at the table was, "Pot!" I was in trouble the moment I sat down :

If I could still have access to the original Paulson fantasy/customs in all of their THC leaded goodness I would be quite happy. Granted all of the NAGB/related sets absolutely kill but they were also designed to work together rather than this largely random selection. Still it's very workable (and there are some missing chips here but you get the idea).

If it has to be an existing set, it would be Dunes or any one of several TRK sets.

I've only seen the set of 4 come up on eBay every once in a while. Must've been sold as a souvenir sample set. It deserves a tribute set at least. Creating one comes right behind another project I'm working on. The colors are amazing, and I'm always a sucker for pen and ink drawings of hotels. Fit an F1 car in there, (which makes me forget there is no denomination) and you have a chip set from '81 that would rival anything created today.

Brother, a chip set like that created in 1981 is better than anything created today.
Shaped, textured inlays.
Leaded Paulson clay.
These are the reasons why practically nobody has responded to this question with anything produced in the last 20 years.
Don’t get me wrong - they can still crank out some amazing stuff, and I’d do a lot of things to get my hands on a set of those new Tigers. But this old stuff is in a league of its own.
