If you could have one set, what would it be ? (2 Viewers)

Can ANYONE PLEASE tell me what this set is called? I have a 500 chip set of this type and am looking to learn more but this is only the second picture I've found of these chips, and the pic of a large set.
Thank you in advance!!

you can do some searching yourself of course, but heres a thread with a bunch of pics.

Yes, and MANY THANK YOUS!! I'll be doing a lot a searchnig now that I have a name for them. I had no clue what they were called, I've seen a thread from 2016 where a guy sold a set..........I'm a little taken aback at how much they sold for. Am I sitting on a holy grail set?

Not really. But I like them.

Not sure I'd call it a holy grail set, but its definitely a set that have its following around here. A bunch of wierd denoms though, so breakdown will have an impact on sale price. But they do tick a lot of the boxes that PCFers appreciate. Nice colors, THC mold, shaped inlays and I assume leaded.

Yes, the inlays on the pic above have been redone. The originals are grey $1 (125) yellow, $2.50 (125), pink $5 (100), light blue $10 (50), black $20 (50). and white $50 (50)

The ( x ) number represents the number of each that are in my set.

Thanks again for the communiation with me about these chips. Just being given the "name" of them has sent me on what is sure to a rabbit hole of sorts. If I remember correctly, I think I paid 500 for my set 15 about 20 years ago. They've rarely seen the light of day.

Those 1s and 2.50s are especially tough to find. Don't take the first offer you get on the 2.50s

That's what I'm learning. I would have thought the $1 would have been the least valuable. Nice that I have 60% of my set made up with just the $1 and $2.50 chips.
Thank you for your reply.

At least add 40x The Post $5.

Ideally replace the SS by the The Post.
Get 2 extra barrels of 10c.
Get 1 extra barrel of 50c.

Very recently I was about to give up (sell the current set and do a custom CPC) but fortunately the CPC mold I wanted for their replacement will not be in use until end of 2023.

So for now, the hunt continues.

They were something of a grail set for here for years. But like a lot of old sets, they’ve sort of faded into history as they’ve been locked up in vaults.
The upside is they’re rare THCs with great colors. The downside is they had strange denominations and were apparently from a Canadian worlds fair or something (and not a celebrated historic casino.)
But yes, I’d say you’re sitting on something good.

Welcome to the rabbit hole.

I’m waiting out the three day waiting period before I can make a post, doesn’t seem to let me have an option to upload a pic dorectly, only to link to pics somewhere

Interesting. Didn't realize there was a time limit to posting pics. Thought it was just posts for PMs and Classifieds. I think I posted more than 10 times in my first day here. :ROFLMAO:

To help you post more, I will ask you a question. Are you familiar with the micro brewery in Ohio that shares your name? It's my understanding that they really love horses.
