Backstory: On our first day of class, my professor had us all introduce ourselves and give a fun fact about us. Of course my fun fact was that I enjoy collecting poker chips. During the 1st break, this young lady walks up to me and says, “I’ve been to Monte Carlo and I left with a chip. I’ll bring it to you next week.” Fast forward to today, and she brings me the chip in the picture. Mind you my immediate response is gratitude as I thank her for contributing to my collection. I offer to give her something in exchange to which she refuses as she is just happy to tribute to my collection (there are actually a ton of good people in this world).

My question is, can someone please give me some history on this chip. I know nothing about it, but I’m very happy to have it. I’m going to make a card capper out of it and hold on to it. Does anyone know if it’s rare? Still live? Does it hold any value? No, I’m not selling it, but I am curious. Anything you could share would be greatly appreciated

Thanks.

Sounds like you need to invite this young lady out for a drink and ask her about the chip. How she got it, what game she was playing, what was she wearing - and can you take her picture for the degens on your poker chips site. We love pr0n.

So you can tell her that that chips came from the "Sun Casino" which is part of the Fairmont Monte Carlo resort. And if you (or she) have watched a F1 car race, the Fairmont Monte Carlo resort is the hotel above the famous "Canino tunnel" (actually called Tunnel Larvotto)
The sea is at about 100 meters from the casino

Now you have material to ask that girl to go out for a drink and told her what you know about that chip....
And it's a nice destination to take her for holidays as well...

“Well, I could be wrong, but I believe the chip is from diversity, an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era”.
