In the USA-------- Totally a cop, and a friend turned informant due to legal circumstances working to set up former friends
In Canada--------- Just two guys that just smoked too much marijuana calling people with grand ideas
That's a profound weakness of me as a player and the very reason I could never be a pro, even if I were a lot more talented.I’m pretty used to playing with creeps - tough to play much poker and avoid them.
Know how I know you don’t have casinos where you live? That's a profound weakness of me as a player and the very reason I could never be a pro, even if I were a lot more talented.
I just can't play any game with / against people I dislike or feel disgust for.
Probably, the reason being that I could afford emotionally only losing (especially money) to people I respect.
We do have one, 20 winding miles up the top of a mountain.Know how I know you don’t have casinos where you live?
And, to complete my answer, I have also played in superficially legal card-rooms, offering .50/.50E and 1/1E stakes.Know how I know you don’t have casinos where you live?
Oh my god. Who would do something so disgusting.... What's his contact info so I can block himI plan on having a $0.25/$0.50 cash game this Saturday, and I just sent out the invitations.
I invited this player, who I would consider one of the tightest and brings one of the least amounts to many of my games (all of my games are $0.25/$0.50).
He called me shortly after I sent him the invite, and a very strange and concerning conversation took place.
He asked if I could help him get a much bigger game going (he knows that I sometimes play in some $1/$2 games with some players that play even higher than that). After I declined, he put someone else on the phone, that proceeded to tell me his plans to have a high stakes raked game with prostitutes and private bedrooms.
I am very curious to see how you guys would handle this.
To be clear, I made it clear that I was not interested. But should I not allow this player at my games anymore after this? I am leaning towards this option right now
Lol not at allHave you given him any reason to think you would be down for co-organizing a high-stakes illegally raked poker game at what is effectively a brother, with a total stranger as a partner?
Man, you really screwed that guy, putting his great idea out on the Internet. I bet at least 5 people are already making money off this since you posted it.After I declined, he put someone else on the phone, that proceeded to tell me his plans to have a high stakes raked game with prostitutes and private bedrooms.
Hookers and blackjack? I'm in!
