So I've known about President Truman's life long love of the game and his "poker cabinet", a group of regular players that he hosted while in the White House and after he left as well, for a long time. But only recently, thanks to PCF, did it dawn on me that his presidential poker chips were TRK.

The President preferred stud games and from all accounts was a calling station who hated to fold and would lose a bit more than he would win - but for him it was never about anything more than a great way to socialize and unwind with his friends. He was, I suppose, a fish. Nixon was a true shark who paid for his first campaign with poker winnings, but Nixon as far as we know didn't play while he was president and didn't have a sick set of TRK's like this

I remember seeing that same pic years ago. Great set with amazing history. I wish they would have gotten a little more creative with the edge spots though!

One of my main interests that got me into collecting chips in the first place was the history of all the different chips out there. If only chips could talk...

These chips are super popular on the chipboard.com, I see them on there almost daily

Definitely some amazing chips there... never seen the Kings Crown quarter or the Casino Royale $25! Those presidential chips are freaking sweet too!! @Chris Manzoni do you own those Brother?? How awesome would it be to own those beauties?
These particular chips I believe are on display in the Little White House museum in Key West. Awesome indeed!
