GPI/BCC Spotted Hot Stamps (1 Viewer)

It's cranberry/camel. See post #16.

The front-facing chip has less light overexposure.

Yes those are camel spots.

These photos have been tweaked to artificially increase the color saturation.

Well, it seems like it would be simpler to just go with inlays from the start. Personally I think the 7/8 inlay looks great on the BC chips.

I haven't heard back from GPI yet concerning the 314 and 312 spotted sets, but I did want to share the labels that I'm planning on making with @Gear if people are interested. I am personally planning on labeling my set and would give you the freedom to switch around denominations if you wanted to. As soon as I hear back from the sales manager at GPI I will be sure to let you guys know.

Hot stamps will look great on these chips. The smaller inlay ( Colombani, Casino De Isthmus ) don't look that great but I think look better than the effort would be to mill and relabel a set imo

Not sure of hot stamped BCC chips have different results than Paulson but know most Paulson hot stamps in decent condition needed to be milled or filed down generously if you want to avoid seeing the HS pressing through the label. So are the small inlay or hot stamps the only option fort these?

I'd buy chips with inlay but and I'd also take the hot stamps. I think most of us here would buy whatever BCC you could get us.

Does this look like cranberry/sky blue to you guys, or is it just my screen? Also, the sky blue/lavender chips look SICK.

Those skyblue and lavender look great. What denom do you see these being in a cash set?

Thinking back on this thread, I think that if Moscow prefers inlay and would rather get 7/8 inlay on these chips, they should go for it regardless of what everyone wants. People will buy these regardless. (although the hot stamps look effing nice)

We should be prepared for a full 314 set and think of some NCV options over a set with a .25 and 1 on them. Is two NCV a crazy thought?

An inlay would be more appealing to me since it would allow for changing denominations by putting on my own labels

There are plenty of inlaid chips out there if you want to do a relabel project. Hot stamps in good condition seem much more rare in comparison.

The inlay option is only for 7/8”, and the hot-stamp size can be almost as large as a grand inlay. The recess on the sun/flower mold is pretty deep, so I shouldn’t have too much trouble if I do decide to relabel them.

Well guys. I just got the news from GPI and it’s not good. They will not sell them to us unless we are a licensed card room in Europe or South America. (n)

I’m so sorry everyone. I felt like I was told something different in the beginning or else I wouldn’t have started this thread.

Well that's a bummer.
But you never know unless you ask.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into this.
Maybe a different vendor? CPC's are probably a little pricier than we wanted to go. But is there another option that everyone could agree on?

I’m still going to speak with GPI a bit more. As far as I know, CPC doesn’t do discounts for group buys, but I could be totally wrong about that.

The sales rep from GPI just told me that I would need to prove that I owned and operated a licensed card room to have these made. Apparently they’ve moved the BC line completely away from the home market. This is really disappointing as I was very excited at the prospect of having a cash and tournament set from GPI/BC.

The "discount" for a CPC group buy comes in the ability of being able to spread the hot-stamp die costs across more chips, effectively lowering the per/chip price from what an individual buyer would incur if purchasing hot-stamped chips by themselves.

This has been done a couple of times recently, with the Atlantic Club group buy (now offered as stock CPC chips) and the group buy for fractional hot-stamped chips (several different designs on the jockey mold, I think).

But no quantity discounts, unless ordering 20,000+ chips.

Lots more color options with CPC. A bit more costly though. I might be in for solids or low level spots. No restrictions on currency symbols either, which is nice.

There's another hot-stamped CPC GB thread that could be resurrected and combined with this one.

Mmmmm....CPC hot stamps on the jockey mold. The possibilities...

Honestly, I would love to see the smooth/no-mold go back into production. I love that CPC is around, but I feel like their molds are pretty specific and, while they work well with themed chips, they feel out of place to me on a lot of sets.

Circle Square, Die Card, and Scroll Mold are pretty generic and all recommended for hot stamping.

Jockey and HHR not as generic, but still nice.

Do you have a link for that thread by chance?

Another idea, and I know that this is not ideal, but I really like the Poker Stars PCA monochromatic ceramics. I wouldn't really want to do the T100s as black with white spots because they look a little "dice-y", but the other chips are really simple and cool-looking to me.

Jockey mold is pretty generic imo, except for the name. That mold marking could be ~anything~, and it really doesn't stand out or detract from the chip's appearance. And it's one of the closest designs to thc in terms of looks and feel.

Agreed, the actual mold marking means very little to me. Nice when it works with the theme, but not necessary.

I'm more interested in feel and look.

I understand.
I've wanted a CPC hot stamp set forever. But Argosy HS came up for sale and I bought those instead. So probably will never happen.

Tough one. Thanks for trying to organize this, nonetheless.
