No the first photo is from the ad. The 2nd I got the idea from @WedgeRock post about the plastic. The pic of the Golden Girls was from an episode that they were playing poker.
This thing needs a shaving and probably a few vaccines while we're at it.

Nobody worries if a dice chip hits the floor, and with that felt you are never getting a card to glide off the edge.

Those plastic cup inserts are advertised as being 2.75 in (7cm) tall which probably is about the size of the raised rail. You can tell the vinyl rail isn't compressing the padding at all so that's all squishy foam. The only positive I see is you have good padding to slam your head against the table when you're punting all night long
