Not sure what, but definitely something. I wonder how many cards a night slide over those edges and flip? Also, just the massiveness of it. Someone put a lot of time and effort into that, and it's just a shame it's so darned impractical.
And what are those rectangle openings behind the drink holders? Snack trays? Ash trays? A place to drop your cards and not be able to get them out easily? So many whys with this one.

Yesterday once I was off work fiddling with things in the basement while I iced my back, someone knocked on the door. This, if you've seen my neighborhood, never happens as it's really hidden.
I answer, and it's my neighbor from two doors down. His friend was getting rid of stuff and had a poker table. He grabbed it to resell it for a few bucks. He works with @BigLumber and knew I threw a game here or there. Figured I might be interested before Facebook marketplace....
I have never had someone do this and it not be a pile of shit. But hey, let's go take a look.
I walk up......
He's like "75 bucks?"
