Hi,

I've a remark on the $1 : is it on purpose that the design elements have been made bigger compared to the other denominations ?

Because the shaped inlays shrink the usable space. I had this issue on my cash set, but the only round inlay with more space was my frac so in the end it didn’t bother me too much because the frac is already an outlier.

Yeah, that was a point of concern for me, too. I guess I could minimize the design to match the others. I realized that the usable space when using shaped inlays is a lot smaller compared to a circular inlay. Shaped inlays don’t give you much room at at all. Thanks!

I know.
If you keep the same size for the inlay elements, the white area was too large ?

Not sure if both 25c & 50c are needed. Other than that I'm liking the design
Thanks! I’m ordering a 600 chip set and needed an extra denom so I figured the .50 would work. I guess I could always change it to a $2 or $2.50 but are those denoms any more practical than a .50?! All these decisions!!! Aarrgghh!!! Lol. Thanks for your suggestion! Much appreciated!

FWIW you just mean you want an extra denom because you can? You don’t “need” an extra denom to have the chipset made. You can have up to one chip design per 100 chips.

Yeah, pretty much. I just figured if I was going to spend that much on a set, might as well get as many extra denominations as I could. So I decided to throw in the .50. I’ll have to reconsider my spot choices for sure. It sure starts to add up pretty quickly when you start increasing spot levels.

Ahh cool. Honestly I would put all 600 chips to work. You won’t get any real utility out of a $2 or .50 chip and 600 doesnt give you extra capacity. But I get it. I would do an extra barrel outside of the 600 of some kind of fun chip for seating chips or all-in chips or souvenir member chips.

I’ve been having similar thoughts. But the only extra denomination I could consider is a nickel. Not that I ever plan on playing 5 cent ten cent, but I suppose it’s possible. Or maybe I’d need nickels for antes? I dunno. But a fifty cent chip is completely useless in a set that has a quarter, as far as I’m concerned.

Fewer denoms but more of the ones you do have. Bigger stacks are more fun, trust me.

I’m with you, playing for such min stakes like .05 or .10 doesn’t really entice me at all. I never even considered a denomination lower than .25 for a cash game. I guess because my friends and I do sometimes play with .25/.50 blinds when we’re just trying to keep it friendly, I decided a .50 would just be an easy option to toss in when needed or for, like you mentioned, antes. Thanks! What’s your ideal chip set look like?

I have a question maybe you can answer. Let’s say my 600 chip order is placed with CPC as I intend. CPC allows 1 denom for each 100 chip order. Does that mean I have to order a minimum of 100 chips per denomination or can I order as many chips as I want of a certain denom. (Just as long as they’re aren’t more than 6 denominations and the total of course doesn’t exceed 600?) For example, the breakdown you described as your ideal chip set in your previous reply, would those chip totals be acceptable as far as CPC is concerned in a 600 chip order? I think I originally misunderstood their guidelines thinking that I had to order a minimum of 100 chips PER denomination. Does that make sense?

You can order any quantity per denom as long as there are no more than 6 denoms per your 600 chip order.

So you could order just 1x $100, 1x .25, 1x $5, 1x$25 and 595x $1s

Got it! Thanks for clarifying! Seems kinda’ crazy though, that they would go through what I can only assume to be a pretty tedious set-up/production process just to produce a solitary chip Then again, perhaps it’s a lot easier than it seems. I’d pay for a tour of the CPC factory.

Yeah I hear you. Obviously that isn't common. But I dont think its that uncommon for people just to get 20x of one or two designs.

Not to mention all-in, bounty, show-‘em chips, etc. Maybe it’s more common than I thought.
