I remember the recorded tournament "monte carlo millions" in 2004.
I just had a bad quality divx rip, so I never had a good look at them.
I think colors and values are,
25 green,
100 black,
500 purple,
1000 yellow,
5000 pink,
I also believe they had a red 5.

I remember I simply just fell in love with the vivid colors, and that started my love for poker chips.

Anyone?

The golden era of TV poker. I love it. This event was great and it's a shame it only ran for 2 years - poker was popular enough for it to run for at least another couple of years. This is back when a big buy-in tournament was a massive deal and the big names would travel anywhere in the world to play it. Sadly it won't ever be like that again.

Phil Ivey was the man at this event. 3rd in 2004, 1st in 2005 and also won a $1m side event in 2005 too. Guy was just becoming the force we would all know him for.

I have all of this event (plus every other televised poker event prior to 2012 - I'd bet I have the best collection in the world!). They used these nice solids in 2004, which looks like very sharp clay chips. In 2005 they moved to a more boring composite looking chip.

Anyway, I uploaded the best episode from 2004 where you can see some better closeups of the chips.
