This maybe? Except with chips...Of course the sets see play. Otherwise, what's the point of having them?
what chips are they, back right? All of these babies see play. Hell, my pny set is probably my most expensive. I had them on the felt Saturday night for a .10 family game with people that have never played poker before lol.
They are meant to be used!

I hear you. I always buy used chips as I'm gonna play them. They're cheaper and you don't have to worry about their condition any more. I'm equally puzzled by everyone's deep pockets for mint/minty chips, but smaller used market is good for me so I don't really care why anymore.I see a lot of people with some really nice looking chips and in some cases "upgrading" condition from what appears to be nearly perfect (sharp edges, no fleabits) to even closer to perfect and spending even more money than $5 a chip.
In the situation described above: Do you just admire how they look or do you actually use them?
Just curious...

Quit lying. You know you needed them.I just got a message that the HSI $25 Secondary arrived in the mail. I guess maybe I didn't need those...lol.

Better safe than sorry!Hosted a Cash Game on Saturday. Used the HSI $1 Secondary chips for the first time. We had 8 players but did not even get to put the HSI $5s secondary into play since only one person bought back in ($25 buy-in min up to $50).

Do you guys play with your "minty" $5 a chip set?
The real questions that need real answersWhere are you finding these discount sets?
I wouldn't either if I got them at factory prices.
omg you have those mysterious smudge spots. I've not seen that outside of casino chips. any idea where that comes from?
