Custom Poker Chip Dream Set (2 Viewers)

I am curious to know... what is your dream custom chipset look like?

Top Hat and Cane cash set? Vintage Bud Jones S2 WSOP Replicas? ASM H-Mold Clays?

For me, it will always be a BJ V7 cash set. I cut my teeth playing mid-stakes cash in Southern California in my twenties back in the early 2000's - and most of the casinos there had V7 sets. It was a vibe for sure. It took months to get good at shuffling those bad boys but once you got a feel for them... oh man.

I think there may be a disconnect between yout post title and your actual question. At PCF, most of us think of a "custom" set as being CPC chips or Tina chips that they designed themselves, or other Paulson, BJ, ASM, etc. chips that have been relabeled. Chips from closed casinos are called just that. Casino chips.

Depends on the finish. Some of the V7s had a more matte finish to them. Kinda like the Mirage Springs set.

I should have been more specific. I was mainly meaning re-labeled or fully custom/replica (i.e. Tina, ASM, etc.). I am sure this topic has been discussed ad nauseum but it is something I obsess over.

I also meant to imply that... "assuming there were no restrictions in terms of custom mold types" - especially in regards to Tina Customs and that of the like.

Yes, I believe ASM has changed hands a few times since the Chiptalk days.

If I had been smarter when I bought my ASM set from Jim B years ago and had denoms on my h mold set my dreams would be reality. I have never felt a labeled chip I could like, I can tell the difference every time to an inlaid chip so relabels are out, especially when you are talking dreams. Hot stamps are my favorites and if you could hot stamp an inlay removed chip I’d be all over that.

Do not be offended if I just dissed your custom label Paulsons, I do think they are beautiful and love looking at them but we are talking dream set. If your labels were truly inlays, many of them would be on my list.

Yessir. Found them pre-murdered so I didn’t feel guilty about doing it myself!

Agree ! We did it in 3 weeks (with a 3-day hook in Vegas) and it's the best trip I had in my life so far. I've an album on Flickr about it.

At some point I even thought about using Route 66 as a theme for my CPC but I finally decided to go with "The Bank" and its representation (the bull) as I always worked in the financial industry.

To come back to the topic, this is my custom dream set.
