Can I get some context on what you mean by that?
I’ll take a shot. Tigers were the most prolific and flamboyant of all the NAGB offerings. And they were also priced lower than what we saw as market prices for previous NAGBs.Can I get some context on what you mean by that?
no @BarrieJ3 just doesn't like anything about the Faro Dunes chipsI’ll take a shot. Tigers were the most prolific and flamboyant of all the NAGB offerings. And they were also priced lower than what we saw as market prices for previous NAGBs.
But then the faro dunes showed up saying I can make a profit while selling chips for noticeably cheaper than the tigers.

NAGB chips were going for $8-$20 chip from 2019-2022.Hol'up... I wasn't here yet. Tigers were $10k for a 1,000 piece set according to their site. How fucking much were NAGB chips going for!? I just saw an ESPT set go up for less than TP's store pricing.
Welcome to PCF lolDamn. It seems like if you can pull the rug on paulson the nagb market is pretty lucrative.
Not the case. If someone wants to get a GPI order through and put Oscar the Grouch on em, so be it! I think any chips are good chips, and all chips are good for the community.no @BarrieJ3 just doesn't like anything about the Faro Dunes chips
None of the above.
It just came up because there was another Tiger drive by comment - it's literally just a comment on people being stuck in their feelings on em as the only nagb to be brought up at the rate they are.

I love that the Faro Dunes chips got made, and for the folks that enjoy them I'm happy for them.
Are there plenty of things I don't like about Faro Dunes from a design perspective? 100%.
But my comment has nothing to do with "not liking Faro Dunes". It was a cheek in tongue comment based on:
People whined and continue to whine about cohesive sets being made that were unlike anything available, at wide availability, fair pricing, etc. If they don't want that, fine, back to normal scheduled programming.
I’ll say this - I’m aware of a transaction for a single rack of NAGBs selling for $10,000.Hol'up... I wasn't here yet. Tigers were $10k for a 1,000 piece set according to their site. How fucking much were NAGB chips going for!? I just saw an ESPT set go up for less than TP's store pricing.

I don’t blame you.
No idea what chips they were but that is the only person that came to mind.Boom!
Well you can't just say that and not elaborate. LolI’ll say this - I’m aware of a transaction for a single rack of NAGBs selling for $10,000.
I know I’ve bought way too many chips and I know I’ve overspent so I’m very thankful he was the *only* person lolNo idea what chips they were but that is the only person that came to mind.

I will say that it’s fu*king gross when someone posts a set for super expensive pricing, and then comes in everyone with those chips (who know better) talking them up, glws, amazing chips, omg amazing I’d add on if I needed to here’s mine, won’t be here long, etc. to stan and hope for an updated price point for their own chips’ value.
I’m using all these phrases to bump my own sale ads from now on.HOW ARE THESE STILL HERE???
That’s a paycheck for me, but I get paid annually.Your paycheck must put mine to shame. A $9200 chip set is more than a single paycheck to me. Funny thing, I never thought I was poor, but by those standards I am borderline.
Oh not to worry. I've been down that rabbit hole already. I was just wondering which rack sold for 10k.https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/windwalker’s-chipping-journey-in-pr0n0graph1c-detail.60841/
That should keep you entertained for a few days.
It can only have been a rack of Paulson Classic $10s, professionally re-labeled as $5000 chips.Oh not to worry. I've been down that rabbit hole already. I was just wondering which rack sold for 10k.
I have 2 surfaces to replace. Perhaps a trade? My old, worn speedcloth for your pristine felt? I'll even give you the stories about the wear-marks (note: none involve beverage spills. Slide-under cupholders allow drinks to be located in optimal positions for each player). Not controversial opinion, but likely uncommon/unpopular: I love seeing spills and chip dust and hair (why the f*ck is there so many little hairs!?) on the table/felt.
For someone that never got to host but bought sh*t like he did, it’s fantastic to see a worn felt post game. For hosts who’ve been at it for years (decades), who have been probably being sighing for years as they hear glass breaking in the kitchen or watch full cups spill, just a reminder to remember the days when things were kept pristine because there was no game.
Nut remnants welcome here! (Okay maybe not that far)

Just remember, everything you read in that thread and from the OP is 100% real and true.Oh not to worry. I've been down that rabbit hole already. I was just wondering which rack sold for 10k.
