COMING SOON: Classic Tapestry Kickstarter (5 Viewers)

Pledged!

Lets Go Basketball GIF by NCAA March Madness

@desjgn - we’ve got a descent sized NJ order for the kickstarter getting set up. If I asked to include a few setups of the flourish in there can that get done?

Can someone explain the difference between the original Desjgn stock and Fournier stock?

Because I really like the original cards that were produced in the past.
I’m pretty sure that the difference in this case is between modiano stock (flourish) vs Fournier stock (Tapestry). I’m making a very small leap of faith here that these will be awesome too! :)

I'll bring out some Fournier decks tomorrow. They'll be on the same stock as the ones I show you.

They're both relatively stiff cards in a good way. In my opinion Fournier have a better snap and less gritty texture, some of my favorite cards. Gather n shuffle is a little smoother.

there is a difference between Fourniers made in same stock in bridge and poker sizes....Bridge is perfect IMO, poker size bit too flexy and slippery for my taste
I know it is just few mm but makes difference

As has been noted by @NotRealNameNoSir, they are less "gritty" and more smooth. And a slightly stiffer card overall.

Personally, Fournier is one of my favorite stocks out there (outside of Kem unobtanium circlebacks). They're stiffer than Kems and Gemaco Superflex, but I think in a good way. Get your hands on some Fournier 2826s if you can. They're great, and have been my personal favorite going on 10+ years now.

Jealous of you two @Flopalopagus , move at the beginning of September, then I'll donate some cash to the cause.
When do you move? I'll get you on the list first game I host after that. Fun stakes that I usually spend more on food and drinks than buy ins. I aim for cash monthly and a tournament quarterly.

Do it! End of August/early September. Working with the apartment managers to figure out a date, might save quite a bit by staying with family for a week or two before move-in. I'll PM you when its official, don't wait up, I'll be juggling a lot around that time.

Back to the cards!
Might finally be time for me to ditch the Copags
This is the way to do it. Support Desjgn, respected forum member that listens to us and makes great cards, on Fournier stock which is one of my favorites. And I spend way too much time and money on cards, highly advise these.

Will there be an ability to add more sets on top of the current choices? I have 4 pledged but ideally would like to have 6 sets: 5 red/blue, 1 orange/teal.

Hi guys, let me give you a run down of the plastics that I have used for each card release, texture or no texture as well plastic thickness.

Amass (smooth texture):
• Classic Paisley (31 mm)
• Classic Crosshatch (31 mm)
• Classic Culture (29 mm)
• Classic Medallion - Pinochle (29 mm)
• v2 Classic Baroque (31 mm)
• Classic Circle 31 mm)
• They also did the first version of Victorian on a 30 mm textured plastic from Italy, but it wasn't as bright white as was more expensive.

Modiano (soft texture):
• Classic Victorian v2 (brown/green/purple/orange - 30mm)
• Classic Flourish (30mm)
• Classic Interweave (30mm - black only)
• Classic Diamond (30mm - black only)
• Caicos Casino (30mm)

Dal Negro (gritty texture):
• Classic Victorian v2 (red/blue/black/yellow - 31mm)
• Classic Diamond Bridge Blackjack Index (31mm)

Fournier (slight texture, mostly smooth):
• Same plastic as the EPT that some of you have/are familiar with.

I am looking forward to having the same plastic on all product lines moving forward.

Busy day for me, but will answer questions/post updates tomorrow.
