Hello people :cool

I have been wanting to try out chipco chips for a while now, they pop up on eBay every now and then, but it’s sporadic.
How big is the chance they pop up around here ? I’ve also read that a vendor here offers Chipco blanks and you can customize them which is really nice, how do I get this project started. I’ve looked on the website of BR Pro Poker but I didn’t find any info on chipco chips.
Please help !!

Yeah ABC / BR should have the chipco blanks available, you just gotta ask. If you want a bunch of chipcos to get a feel for what you’re getting into, I should have a barrel or two.

Very generous gesture, even if you meant to sell me :) !
Can you point out the differences between a Chipco chip and a sun fly for example ? Or other generic ceramic chip, what makes Chipco better or aren’t they..

ChipCo blanks are no longer made. It is possible as an off-menu item from BR Pro for as long as there is stock left, but for a 20% upcharge on their normal blank.

If you plan on doing future add-ons, the BR Pro blank is the best option.

ChipCo feels more clackey, BR Pro feels smoother. Not in a slippery way, just the face of the chip is smoother (IMO it prints better), and they definitely shuffle better. I think @CraigT78 might have his printed on BR's stock blank, and he can comment on how they hold up over time. One of the GOAT ceramic sets out there.

All my ceramics are on the chipco blank, from BrPro and GOCC.

6 years now and only a slight fade starting to show.

Each ceramic has a different feel and sound. In my experience, Chipco have a slight texture to the finish, BR Pro Poker have a more square edge and have both smooth and textured finishes (Nevada Jack are textured), and Sunfly are smooth with a more rounded edges.

Everyone has their preference. I didn't care for ceramics until I tried Chipco. You may have a different preference.

I don’t believe they carry the chipco blanks anymore. I inquired not too long ago and Gene said they were not offering them anymore like they used to. Unless I just misunderstood

Sadly, they are only for casinos now.

Unfortunately I don’t have experience with many other blanks, but chipco has a nice satin feel all over (with textured faces), without any sharp edges. The only ceramic sets that I’ve owned were both chipco.
