Wasn’t sure which forum to post this in, but I’ve noticed most live players riffle chips with their right hand. Am I in a huge minority riffling chips with my left hand as a right hander? Just thought about it the other day in a tournament at the Bicycle Casino in LA , when my left arm sort of touched the player to my left’s right arm as he was shuffling chips.

Did you start this thread as a feeder for the “out-of-context” thread? Well, here goes...

I learned to do it with my right hand first, but now I’m more proficient with my left hand, likely due to the fact that I’m usually using my results for hand to run the mouse.

I saw the owner of a cardroom here in Austin Shuffle 20 ceramic chips with each hand a while ago. Ever since, I’ve been hooked on the both hands method! I play a lot of online poker, so when I play live I need more stimulation to keep myself busy.

Edit: for the record, I do them simultaneously when I fold. During a hand, one or the other.

I do both, just depends on where I have my chips/cards/etc.

I'm a righty and shuffle with my right hand.

Poll might have been better as Dominant hand, Non-Dominant hand, and both.

Left hand when I have a good hand. Right hand when I am folding. Both hands when I am going to shove.

Please use that as a reliable tell at all meetups.

:D

Righty who shuffles with the left. I have wondered this as well. I feel like my dominant hand is subconsciously only being used for the important stuff like betting chips, peeking at my cards, and drinking whiskey
