Hey there, I am new to any sort of chip collecting at all. I am looking to get just a barrel of casino used Paulson chips, mostly just to play around with at my desk to be honest. Where is the best place to get them if I am located in Canada?
P.S. Any info about Apache's shipping to Canada would be great! Trying to decide between ordering a set from there or ordering the weighting poker knights from 'Straight Poker Supplies'
Thanks in advance to any help!!

The longer you surf through the classified, the more you will learn about casino chips and Paulson chips. Apache does sell some casino used chips, but I am not sure what condition they will be in. Most members here sell casino chips that are mint or near mint and the price reflects that, as it should. I am not sure if the Poker Knights chips are or ever were casino chips.

Welcome to PCF! Put up a wanted ad for Canadians. I’m sure there’s more than a few up there who have an extra barrel of used Paulsons they would sell to you.

I’m not a fountain of knowledge here but I don’t believe they were, I just thought they would be good for a set for me and my buddies to use rather than settling for the old dice chips. I appreciate the reply, if you (or anybody seeing this) have any experience with the poker knights let me know if they are a good buy!

Welcome to PCF!

A shuffle stack of live Paulson $1 chips, or some retired RHC chips, should be pretty doable.

The first sentence of your original post is pretty much the Want To Buy (WTB) ad that I would post in the Classifieds section here to achieve your stated objective.

Best of luck!

I was searching in the classifieds, found a nice barrel sale I was going to message about but I can’t post a response as it says i have “insufficient privileges” Any idea how to fix that?

In my experience, the Poker Knights are the worst of the slugged chips. The material is hard and slippery, the edges are rough from flashing, and the colors are drab. There are better options for the price. Monaco or Outlaws are nicer. I really like the Crown Casino set, but they don't have a quarter.

If you go the Apache route, and there's nothing wrong with that as everyone has a budget, check out the Royals. Those are 43mm versus the standard 39mm diameter in chips. They are not Paulson chips and I don't think they are used in any casinos.

You will hear this a lot given your question, but buy sample sets before you invest your money into chips. You'll get one chip of each denomination. Or ask in the classifieds if anyone has a particular sample set they could sell.
