Calling all PCF runners (5 Viewers)

Nope, it has felt a bit over the top. I do have the nerdy gene like everyone else here, so it might come to that sooner or later

Just started doing park runs again (I think Park run is a global charity thing and not just UK?). Only a 10yr gap between my last one haha. I’m going to be slow …

A perfect quick weekend 5k blast

After today's long run I finally achieved a week with >50km (barely). Exactly 8 weeks left to Stockholm Marathon, I'm hoping to get 50-55 per week until the tapering weeks.

@Eriks, there are still tickets sold on the second hand market!! Do it!!

Too long for me, one day maybe

No sunday run?
So I felt a bit better today and went out for a light run to up this week's total. Warm-up felt pretty darn good so the light jog turned into threshold intervals! New total 29.83. Hoping for a normal week now.

How's it going for you? Did you run premiärmilen?

Nice! No races for me yet. I have two 10ks planned so far: midnattsloppet in August (not really a fast/good one, but I was challenged by a friend) and then Hässelbyloppet in October (this will be an good indicator of current shape where I can hopefully shatter of my old useless 43:11 PB).

Finally had a great training week after my cold and closed the week on 48k after a 20k run yesterday. Looking forward to start doing some track and hill repeat sessions pretty soon.

It seems the fixed qualification time is needed to even be able to register. After registration, they draw the line even further as to not exceed their capacity.

So in this case you needed to be sub 3:10 to register, but would have been cut if you weren't below 3:03:09.

I see they have set the qualifying times for registration even lower next year:

Me leveling up to 45 won't help much :-(

Tried a new type of run today. A 20 minute warm-up in zone 2 followed by 50 minutes in my intended marathon pace, then a 20 minute cool down jog.

The bad news is that the marathon pace brought my puls into zone 4, albeit the lower half. You do not want to spend a marathon in that zone! So I need to get in much better shape by May 31.

The good news is that I felt quite comfortable at the end of the 50 minutes. I can't keep it for 42km just yet, but still.

How long are you in town for on the marathon weekend? Wanna get together for a beer?
