So i bought a rack of jack $1s off @DavinciFox and they were advertised as mint. I instead got 99 chips and 10 of them are dirty and a few are flea bitten. He said he pulled ten out to check them out then put them back. Clearly he pulled them out to shuffle for a few days or he never washes his hands. He admitted to knowing there was only 99 and went through with the sale and shipped them anywa he only told me about it after they were shipped and now he wont respond to my messages since Tuesday even tho he’s been on every day.
Just thought id warn everyone

That's really sad to hear and another reason rhc chips shouldn't be fetching the prices they are, even though they look fantastic that's crazy wear for a casino quality chip that was mint not long ago. Hope he reaches out and makes it right
If he was willing to ship it short, and only tell about it after, I have doubts he will make amends.

That is a very generous use of the word mint, absolute trash for a seller to describe those as mint. To not mention that he was sending 99 instead of a full rack is flat out lying. Another member added to the do-not-deal with list:(.

Here’s hoping he makes it right...but I won’t hold my breath

I have a fear of shipping light. I have to count the chips at home before I pack up. Then I have to look again at the post office before taping everything closed. Even then, I usually take a picture just to make sure I know exactly what I sent off.

Wouldn’t have the gonads to say, oh yeah btw there’s 99.

Gotta agree with this sentiment!

I triple count. Triple check. Make sure. Check each chip. Make it a process to pack...

I take pride in EVERY chip I ship. I'm trying to make a reputation of being a caring chipper. Respect other people's money and respect that once I'm paid, those chips are not my property anymore.

When I sell ANY chip...the minute the funds come through, I wrap and box the chips. No ifs ands or buts.

Just my opinion, but he should refund your money to you.. I wouldn't even be able to sleep at night if I had done someone that way.
I definitely understand an honest mistake, but this is just wrong !

I said i would gladly pack em up and ship them to wherever they get got to go. Just wanted to be refunded. That was Tuesday

I really wonder what his excuse for the wear is? Must be wear from shipping.

Edit:Also shitty he blames it on the vendor.
I actually think that it's not uncommon to get RHCs with a slight bit of wear or something like that in mint chips. I'd still mention it and try to show it in the photo for resale, especially the dirty ones too.

Those chips look beat to hell compared to mint chips. He had to know what he was doing.

Other chips look fine, but the one in the last picture is in shameful condition. A whole half barrel is definitely filthy too. Best everyone else can do is not buy from this seller. It sucks that you're the one that had to learn the hard way.

Sorry this happened but thanks for letting us know @Lash. Spreading the word about unfortunate instanced like this is the only way to prevent it from happening in the future.

I’m sure someone here will step up and offer to send you a spare chip. I only have one as part of a sample set but if you don’t find another one by the end of the weekend I’m happy to send it along.

Thanks for the offer but keep your chip. I’ll be looking to replace more than one and in no rush

I would for sure leave negative feedback if he doesn't make it right soon. I comb through the feedback before purchases. Sometimes I'll risk it if it's not much money but rarely.

I have noticed though that some people on here seem lazy or reluctant to leave feedback. I've made many purchases that I never got any feedback on.

Gotta put the warning on his profile for others to be aware.

I am in this boat also. Established members I have dealt with are not keen to use the feedback system. I have to ask via PM for the feedbacks and in a few cases, I get none.

This has been true for some of the chips I have sold as well. A few members didn't even tell me if they received them or not, despite my inquiries.

This is tough because I leave feedbacks for the buyer the minute they pay for the chips. I guess I will stop this practice. I am leaving feedbacks and there is little to no reciprocation.

Perhaps it's because once members are established community folks and are known to be caring chippers...feedbacks become redundant. Just hard as a noob to build it up.

I've had the same thing. I'm not new but was a lurker for a long time mainly purchasing through PMs when I did so i understand those. But I've been trying become more active because I've got more expendable income to play with and wanna add on some nicer chips and it's been a slow process.

I do have to say though that I've not had anyone who refused to sell me something based on feedback. I guess because the buyer has to pay before anything ships. Maybe I'll run into issues once I start selling more, trying to make room in earnest.

If I'm selling, I leave positive feedback on payment, always. It's not about being reciprocated, it's about doing what is right. The seller has paid, and has therefore fulfilled entirely their side of the sales contract, and therefore has assumed all the initial risk. That, in itself, is deserving of positive feedback.

I do expect a buyer or trader to leave feedback upon receipt of goods, provided they are satisfied. Many times I have not received return feedback initially, but 90% of the time when I remind the buyer I will get the feedback very soon - some people are very busy, or just forget, or whatever.

I just caution on leaving negative feedback if you haven't really had a chance to discuss the problems among both parties and agreed to a resolution. I use as rule of thumb, 2 weeks notice from initial notice of problem and 2 follow-up messages, with a statement of intent to leave negative feedback if unanswered (or answered in a hostile manner). Thankfully I've never been in a situation on either side (on this site) where negative feedback was inevitable.

Hmmmm, I'm definitely in the camp of "doesnt leave feedback" when I buy/sell...I'm not sure if I ever have to be honest.

If anybody is reading this that has dealt with me and wants me to leave feedback please just say something, it's something that I don't care about too much but I don't blame anybody for wanting it. Apologies if I've done this to you.

I'm just oblivious to most of this stuff, I know who the good people are and I know who aren't, if I don't know you you get the benefit of the doubt.... Someone mentioned a "reaction score" the other day, didn't even know what that was. That stuff is too Facebook for me, reminds me of one of the better Black Mirror episodes.
