Best spots to use across a tournament set (1 Viewer)

My next tournament set I build in distant future will use the same spots throughout the denominations T100 base. All will have normal tournament base colors with 2 spot colors. Which should I go with?

I would probably go with something less expensive for an entire set. Something like 3d14 or 4d14

If the price doesn't matter, I like 6d18.

6d18 is definitely my favorite of the ones pictured here, but yeah that aint cheap.

It will just be a small single table tournament set so levels won’t matter too much in the end. I like 6D18 but everytime I play around with the design tool it just feels like I’m copying the aurora stars

Shoot for a common pattern that allows the base color(s) to clearly shine through, particularly when viewing the rolling edge in stacks -- thus increasing the playability of the set when in use.

6A18 and 3TA316 are great choices imo.

6D18 also works, but can be tricky depending on the specific spot colors chosen.

6D18 doesn't let enough of the base show between spots, based on my own chips made.

I’m actually leaning towards 6A18. Looks nice and clean when only using 2 spot colors. I have a small tournament set on 3A916 set ordered and want more complex on my next set. I do really like 6D18 a lot and think I have the colors nailed down so they don’t cause dirty stacks but my biggest hang up is that they feel too much like AS with that pattern. The others almost feel too busy…

I like that too but would probably just go with 3D14 over this if I wanted the 3 spot style so there isn’t a “primary” spot color if that makes sense.

I think it looks great, actually, and I may prefer that one as you have it. Is it dg pink and arc yellow? I think some color combos look better right next to each other as opposed to separate.

Looks like 6D18 is winning pretty steadily. That was my first choice but started to waver. I have a cash set and tournament set (3A916 spots) on order now and have another cash set and tournament set in mind for future when I can afford another order.

For anyone interested, I just switched my tournament set on order from 3916 to 3D14 because I started to get nervous that the colors were getting too messy with the larger spots. I really wanted to upgrade to 3TA181418 but got sticker shock on the price difference from a level 3 set. Maybe in the future…

I’m super excited about it and I think it’s going to work out well. I decided to keep it as simple possible with the amount of colors, although I am using some fun base colors - black 100, blurple 500, dayglo tiger 1000, maroon 5000 and dark blue 25000

I had to chime in cause I wish someone would have for me • I love the 6DA18 on a Bellagio tribute set $1000 and $5000 (8DA18) • I have over 440 of these chips and I will say the majority are like these • it’s just super difficult to do the 1/8th inch spots on these chips it’s not cpc fault • the tops come out fine but if this would tilt you also I’d go wider edge spots that come in much better as I have no issues with 3TA16 or any 1/6th inch • while the hybrid or ceramic can be done perfect. I even tried 4DSA18 thinking it fix issue but clearly didn’t • the top 3 are ones they came out better for comparison.
