Real clay chips are MOSLTY only sold here on this site, or @TheChipRoom or classicpokerchips.com. Also @Spinettis Gaming and @Apache!

@Machine drop your welcome link!

And generally the cheapest you will find a clay chip seven used is between a dollar to two dollars per Chip. (Used condition)

Agreed. Everything on that chip cave site looks to be slugged plastic, except for the Nevada Jacks, which are ceramic, and I don’t even think those are legit versions of the Nevada Jacks. I could be wrong but I thought only ABC/BRPro Poker were the sole manufacturer of NJ ceramics.
I noticed another member was not satisfied with the chips they were sent from the Chip Cave:

There are zero clay chip options for twenty cents per chip. I’m assuming you are talking about these chips. These are not clay, be aware that many sellers call chips clay that are not but cheap plastic.

Do some reading on this site and you can learn a lot. Good luck finding some chips.

Check out this link for lots of great info.

These are my favorites in the cheap category, but they don't have quarters:

If you need quarters, these are pretty nice, in my experience. I've had the Monaco. These three sets seem to be made of the same material.

I got good service from Discount Poker Shop. Thepokerstore.com carries The Mint chips, as well as other Claysmith lines. Years ago, I bought Showdowns from there. Hated the chips, but the service from The Poker Store was very good.

It’s hilarious that they call these clay when they’re plastic copies of plastic chips. This industry is such garbage. Never ever have clay chips looked like this:

Fair point. No chips in this price range are actually clay.

Still, decent chips for 20¢ each. I've played a few times in a home game that uses them. They're a bit slippery, but no more than Bud Jones or Matsui. They feel good, too. I thought about getting a rack of Tina hybrid quarters made to match the set as a gift to the host. He's using Poker Knights for fracs now, and they suck.

Oh I don’t mean to trash the chips. Just the headline. I’m sure they’re great for the price. And we’re all full of crap here too. I played with dice chips a few weeks back and they were fine.

Honestly, as long as they stack ok, don't have rough edges, and the colors can be distinguished in reasonable light, I'm happy to play with just about any chips.

Hello and welcome! I would agree with all of the above statements. @Machine has a great welcome thread that was already mentioned. My first starter set was Claysmiths mints and they are good for what you pay for. My recommendation is to identify your 1) budget, 2) stakes for cash or tournament and 3) number of players. Feel comfortable with what your are spending and just enjoy it. Most of your players will think that anything you buy is the best chip out there ;).

Chip Cave has the worst customer service ever.
have u got something from them? or have u heard about it? really dont care that much about how premium the quality of the chips is, just dont want to get scammed, if i buy chips from them and i actually recieve something then i dont care if they take weeks, its just that i really want a mint set and thats the only place. as i already said i dont care that much about quality or shipping time, just want to make sure im actually going top recieve something in the mail

Wow...you don't care about quality, or how long it takes to get to you...as long as you get them?

Which chips were you looking to purchase from them? There may be better sellers out there osf the same chips, and you might get the real thing and not a bad knock-off. The warning signs are there already with this place.

I bought from them. Not crazy about the chips. I should have got a sample. You will wait forever which you say you don't mind but I did. Then the wrong quantity arrived and that took forever to resolve but you say you wont mind that either. The chips I got suck and the process made that suck even worse.

Maybe these chips identify as clay? And if so, don't pick on the clays. No clay bashing. Clays are very sensitive. Stand up for clay rights. Clay pride! Don't try to keep clays in the closet.
